I find just overlaying price to be boring as well, but not really sure what to expect this cycle. On the one hand you can say link had room to grow and most coins do not usually see a 2nd run. Its destiny is that of alts like litecoin, xrp, monero etc. I can accept this as a possibility.

On the other hand, if you genuinely believe link is the next pillar required for mainstream adoption of crypto, then the fact it fell out of the top 5 towards the backside of top 30 gives it exactly the sort of runway for another explosive move this cycle, potentially bigger than last cycle. As opposed to most shitcoins that did everything they were supposed to do when released (besides ada and smartcontracts), chainlink was attempting something entirely new, and did not even have a functioning mainnet at the start of last cycle. At the start of this cycle, it still doesn't have what's considered now to be its two most integral features, staking (1.0) and ccip. Now you can take the bearish stance here as well, and say those things will never happen, similar to people who predicted mainnet would never happen last cycle. Or you can try to frontrun them in case it does happen this cycle, just as link potentially frontruns the market if those features release before the parabolic phase of the cycle begins.

What's especially crazy is if staking 1.0 releases, the tokenomics of link become unlike that of anything else in the market, such that there is real potential for it to decouple and link holders would never have to sell again. That said, I don't think staking 1.0 is financially feasible without an exponential increase in demand for the network, and that doesn't happen without swift involvement, so there is probably a relatively decent chance you don't see that this cycle. Without that, you're left with CCIP, which might require staking 1.0 to be truly secure.
