I resigned a few days ago and have a long notice period. My manager took away most of my responsibilities and my job was bullshit anyway.

Currently spent the morning reading a book. I have maybe 45 minutes of work to do later today and then it's back to reading.

The second week of my first real job (30, khv though) which is WFH is coming to an end. I still have no idea how much actual work I will have to put in once I am no longer being trained constantly, but I guess I'll work 4h per day (the human limit for concentrated work) and spend the rest of the day gaming, sleeping, reading and shit.

but more so tech consulting - we do custom software projects for clients and I'm the one that talks to the client, figures out the tech required and determines a price/timeframe and writes the proposal. Pretty simple job, 180k OTE last year. more than 3/4 of that is commission so I really have to work my ass off.

There's a lot of sitting around and waiting for people to get back to you though - so for hours you'll have nothing to do and then all of a sudden you'll have 20 things to do and no time to do them

Why are American salaries so insanely high? In Belgium you don't earn €100K a year unless you are some top tier manager, CEO or celebrity or something.
