If you have fine gold everywhere, its fairly angular than yes your probably fairly close to a source, but that source might not be good for course gold. I would also check out those creeks coming off areas with lead zinc, they could have associated gold too. Pic related, the gold ore from this spot hosts lots of galena, and the gold likes to hang out on the galena margin.

I'm going to visit Vietnam later this year and I've been told the best way to get local currency is to trade in gold at one of their larger jewelry stores. Anyone done this before? I'm thinking I'd get a few 1/10 oz rounds or maybe 10gr bars, but I have no idea what they prefer over there. From what I can tell, there's basically two domestic bullion mints and most gold transactions are done with their products. Even if my plans don't work out now I want to get some vietnamese gold bars...

The King of England also claimed the French throne until the Bourbon’s were overthrown and Louis got his head cut off. It then became the British’s goal to restore Europe back to pre French Revolution status, including restoring the Bourbons in France. So, George III dropped the hundreds of years old claim, in order to be able to restore the Bourbons. This is why symbols that are French in origin, appear on the regalia of the King of England.

It's pretty funny to me how you guys all think China and India are 3rd world shitholes who can't do anything, while at the same time buy into the whole goldbug schizo theory about how the BRICS are going to eat our lunch. Nevermind the fact that Argentina is experiencing hyperinflation due to their commie government and Brazil is unstable AF as it experiences sectarian violemce between commie favela shemales and right-wing losers who lost their elections, power, and government. Plus Russia is a total shithole, facing demographic collapse like so many, but their coping mechanism is to invade their neighbor and they are failing to even do that. The BRICS countries are run by late-stage authoritarian dictatoriships (i.e. way past their prime of being efficient) and commie retards. If you believe for one second that these incompetent morons are going to crush the eurodollar and get everyone in the world using their currencies, which will create the collapse wetdream you all long for that sends gold and (LOL) silver to the moon, then you are certifiable fucking retard.

Anon, wars are not always direct action. In fact, most wars have been won through out maneuvering your enemy. Nuclear weapons have changed warfare much like how guns changed warfare from knights in armor. One of the biggest problems of direct action is how unpredictable the effects can be, which is why you don't see it as often as psychological warfare. With the internet, enemy agents can now rot nations from the inside with information warfare. Whether you think the west or east is good or bad, the point is that the public is being targeted to create instability in competing nations. I don't know what's going to happen in the future, but it does feel like we are at the beginning of WW3 and things are only going to escalate from here.

>Plus Russia is a total shithole, facing demographic collapse like so many, but their coping mechanism is to invade their neighbor and they are failing to even do that.

What makes you think that annexing Ukraine is the only thing Russia is invading for. Here's a bit of a history lesson for you anon. After the first world war, the United States lent money to Europe so they could profit from it, just like they're doing to Ukraine. Russia knows the United States was going to do this, yet invaded anyway. This is because the greedier the United States gets, the more pressure it puts on its financial system. The western financial system is already about to give way due to massive amount of quantitative easing it did over the pandemic. While the war is going off, Putin is holding meetings with other countries who are already pissed off with the United States about moving away from imaginary wealth and a return to real commodities. All the major eastern world players with natural resources are ready to make the jump, and China is currency the world's factory. What in the fuck has the west truly got? A service industry and a fuck load of debt due to the debt based economy. This on its own wouldn't be too much of a problem, only that in the 21st century a lot of government social programs like pensions have been robbed to keep the debt based economy going. There's only so long before the whole thing implodes, and a lot of angry people when they realize their pensions no longer exist, or are next to being worthless. The turning point will be when nations around the world drop the US dollar as their world reserve currency which will then result in a crack up boom. I'll give it ten year window for this to happen, but my hunch is that it's going to happen in the next few years.

>Why wouldn't we
Why wouldn't we switch to funco pops as currency? Why wouldn't we switch to any physical object as currency?

Who is going to start up the coin presses and start minting silver coins? Previously 100% of the population already owned silver, so it made sense to use it as a currency because everyone owned a significant amount of it. Now it's more like 1% of the population owning silver. In order for it to become a currency again, someone would have to introduce a massive amount of it into supply and distribute it to everyone, which by the way would significantly dilute your stacks.

Not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying the reason why silver has always been used as currency is because people owned silver. When people sailed to the united states and started establishing an economy, they weren't scratching their heads trying to figure out what to use as currency. They had gold and silver coins in their pockets so they used that. They used what was available. They didn't use them because they were magic coins that God came down and gave them. They used them because they were established as being used, and everyone had them.

Silver and gold are no longer established as being used for trade and no one has them. So why would we go back to using silver and gold as a currency?

Did you ever ask the question, why it was being used for thousands of years? It's because people had them in their pockets. People don't have silver in their pockets anymore. That's what I'm fucking saying. Why would we go back to silver? The reason we used it in the first place is no longer there. Why wouldn't we use a digital currency, for instance? Especially when most transactions are digital now anyways.

People had them in their pockets because it was money. People used to have bills in their wallets that were backed by real tangible wealth. The only reason why people don't still have tangible wealth in their pockets is because the Israeli-US government requires debts to be paid in their paper currency backed by nothing but their willingness to kill you.
We would go back to silver because it has an actual, tangible value and every fiat currency that is backed by nothing will get printed in to oblivion as we are actively seeing happen.
Again, how do you think it gets to a point where someone has to trade 5 reams of paper worth of 'currency' for a loaf of actual, tangible, edible bread?

You're directly correlating the collapse of fiat to the rise of silver. I'm saying that is a faulty assumption because we could just as easily decide funco pops as the new default currency. More people are stacking funco pops than silver.

I believe fiat might collapse, but I think putting faith that silver will become the new default currency is using bad logic, especially when it's a currency that can't be traded electronically. You're not only predicting the collapse of fiat, but the collapse of the global economy and the deaths of billions of people, and ontop of all of that when all of these problems are happening you think people are going to be trading shiny metal that no one has access to instead of bartering directly with food that people need to survive.

The only people interested in using silver as a currency are boomers that have silver, which is less than 1% of the population. The other 99% of the population will just want to survive and not care about metal in a world of economic ruin.

Noob question, if you don't mind:
1. If that goes well and gold becomes necessary to buy gas, where does that leave silver?
2. With either PM, if price per ounce skyrockets, why would premiums still be a thing? Like if the metals become so valued and people will surely be testing them rather that just relying on security features or recognition, why would premiums still exist?
