If OFAC or any other US government entity decides to go after decentralized trading platforms (which isn't that unlikely imo) they can order stablecoin issuers to freeze funds like they have to Circle and Tether. Granted GNS does utilize DAI, but MakerDAO has put up a lot of collateral at Coinbase which is subject to whatever regulations come up. As well as MakerDAO's collateral for DAI being questionable there is a concern MakerDAO can be taken over in which case they themselves can freeze DAI at will.
