I know something you don’t know.

I cannot tell you what it is. It’s illegal.

But it will absolutely wreck all GRT holders.

You will see it happen this year.

I am sorry about this in advance, but I wanted to tell you so that I feel like I warned you.

One hint: it is NOT competition that will kill GRT.

I will not respond to guesses.

actually here it is:

"assuming:
- all query fees going back to folks that are delegating/indexing:
- 3B tokens locked in delegations
- Single query cost $0.0003
- $1 buys 3333 queries

100M queries on mainnet a month would generate $30k a month revenue for all delegators (~$1 per 100k stack)
1B queries / month -> ($10 per month for 100k stack)
35B q / month -> ($350 per month for 100k stack)"

Competition is to be expected. GRT is set up to be the standard way to read data off the blockchain, but has several limitations that can hinder that. The team must focus on listening to developers and address these limitations. If that doesn't happen timely, then it's over.

What are the costs? Does the indexer require some heavy duty network interface and lots of RAM that would make an AWS instance more than a few dollars a month? It does look like an awful lot of work to set up an indexer to get only 5.5% APY as calculated by https://www.stakingrewards.com.. Might as well just put my money in a 3.8% Wealthfront cash account and get USD back that I can actually use.

Listen Yaniv I bought first at $0.70 and delegated and got absolutely destroyed. I would only go back into the staking delegating indexing world if the returns were significant. So far the amount of technical legwork to get 5.5% back as an indexer is nowhere close to worth it. I'm trying to buy a house soon so I need either liquidity or big fat huge gains, 5.5% isn't worth locking up a bunch of money that I need to quickly turn back into USD so I can show it to a mortgage broker. "Well when GRT goes back to $2 then the delegation/indexing rewards will be so much more!!!" if GRT goes up a lot guess what I just sell my undelegated GRT and buy a house so my kid can have his own room, hope that answers ur question

you need to be capital efficient, your indexer allocation nets you some indexing rewards, but you need to be smart about it. The big guys got in early, marketed to the normies to delegate to them, and now they use their stack and normies stack to get most of the indexing rewards.

sorry anon. I have a larger bag than that and was here since the beginning, even before TGE. Indexers had a big leg up and after launch, you could hear the same sentiment
>hurr if you don't have at least 2M in GRT you won't make it
trying to psyop other potential indexers out of the market. This really got bad when they forced the GIP proposal to allow them to withdraw their indexing rewards without unstaking which really solidified their ground. This was some time ago, hopefully something's changed. Your best bet is to ask around discord and see their response. If they're wholly against it, go all in
