XCM is a security as i've said countless times before on my AMAs. Why do you think the evaluation of the company is directly tied to XCM price you stupidy head. I also only created XCM so that the company would survive and that I can easily facilitate your mother
Oh and by the way we're monitoring all the pirates who are selling off XCM on Uniswap, your days are numbered.

Serious topic, I think Kevin should get a hair transplant, for the good of the business.
In this industry, looks and charisma is everything, prime example being HEX, we've seen that basically nothing else matters.
When people see before and after pictures of Kevin with a head full of lush hair, they'll want to sign up with Coinmetro because they see it's ran by a successful businessman.

>I keep a swath of my funds on exchanges.
During KDA bullrun I temporarily had roughly 70% of my funds in my private keys and 30% on coinmetro, but kucoin kept disabling deposits and withdrawals and being super mega duper high IQ I divided it 33% private keys, 33% coinmetro, and 33% kucoin. If any of them failed I'd still have 2/3 of my stack, and a single one failing wouldn't be a life ruining disaster.
When I dumped my coins at various stages through the peak deposits were disabled, but I already had coins there to dump with max liquidity. I ended up losing a bit when I dumped on CM with lower liquidity during fear, but risk management and all.
>Losing your key to your private wallet is really scary, if you lose the key to your front door or your chastity lock there's recourse, but for crypto wallets there isn't any.
A little bit. If there's a fire in my home right now I'm kinda fucked unless I get a firesafe safe to protect either the wallet or the seed, but it's possible to use an airgapped device and encrypt your seed very heavily, and then rehost the encrypted seed on many many cloud services for redundancy. This way you can always decrypt it at a later time if your house burns down as long as you don't fuck up and lose all your passwords too.
I'm currently around 70% on private keys. Makes me feel safe, it's not impossible for kucoin or cm or any other exchange to get in trouble either through hacks, regulations, or whatever. If that happens I still have most of my shit and don't miss out on the entire bullrun.

I have to say I do enjoy having funds in my bank though, it's safer than exchanges (fiat only though (×∆×) ) extremely lazy and not your keys not your problem.

I understand your position, it's just that there's risks to both ways of storing crypto.
That's why I don't have a huge issue with keeping some funds on exchanges, I also do a fair amount of trades every so often so I have to have funds ready to go in and out.
Banks are indeed still safer, since they're also insured by law, the downside is that you have to play by their rules.

Do you own a home though? I didn't before then either, not my home not my problem. Parents had my stuff insured indirectly.
I don't insure individual items like my fridge or laptop or whatever, that's a waste of money almost every single time. If you had a €30k car for example you would like to know that you don't need to dish out €30k if someone crashes into your car and totals it. The reward for not insuring is very low, the risk is very high. Overall it's a win for the company, but it's a dangerous risk/reward for you if it can fuck you hard. Better get slightly fucked in the long run than risk instantly have years completely ruined.
I have everything inside my home insured in case of flooding, fire, or burglary.
It's not that expensive and I enjoy knowing I am not turbo fucked financially if something happens.
