Basic Casios are pure utilitarian watches and as such are top tier. Tools and vehicles are supposed to be like that, they're either good quality (which means reliable and durable) but still cheap so they're expandable, or super expensive to show off your wealth. Everything in between is useless.

Nomos Glashütte or Sinn U1 with the black coating are my favourites. Completely unknown for most people however, and not really super expensive (maybe a few thousand on the upper end of things)

But it is more interesting watches. Although audemars are great and it looks very stylish in the office.
