Even worse than this are the numerous companies with Ukrainian employees, my own included, who want to get them out of the country but are legally barred from doing so.

My small software development agency has three engineers + 1 PM in Dniprov and Lviv and they'll be drafted if they try to leave. We've been trying to get them H1Bs since well before the war too.
