Can definitely work like that. I did a more difficult degree instead of some meme shit like psychology/business/communications and not I make low 6 figs working from home comfy in my early 30s. There are definitely more extreme cases, i.e. putting all your energy into a business in your 20s and have it take off in your 30s but I mean the general idea of investing into your future by means of working hard can definitely pan out.

there is truth to it
i'm 34 now making $150k, not really working that hard (wfh), minimal stress
no wife and kids and to be honest i can retire now, 90% of my income goes to index funds and crypto, with now around $1.5m in investments, fluctuations year to year are more than my income, which is an interesting feeling. Last year my net worth went down like $150k, but over the last 2 weeks it's gone up like $100k. It makes work and income seem more insignificant which has actually reduces my work stress a lot.

i'm in a position now where i'm cruising through my 9-5, and if we get another bull run in 2025 that'll be the end of my work life. it was because i set the foundations in my 20s, it has made my 30s so much better and will make the rest of my life better too.

>> No.53393804

Only works if your family puts you in a position where 'grinding' in your 20s is possible, like hooking you up with the job you need. Otherwise it's
>grind pointlessly
>oops a recession fucked you over
>people online gloat their job is fine
>oops their job just fired them too and they're pissed
>now you've wasted your time chasing something you can't get anymore
>time for more grinding
Not to be a marxist but this is what garl margs wrote about, a system which becomes increasingly unstable due to large recessions and fucks people over so that only the ones with connections, capital and privilege (not white privilege that's not real) can ever recover or make it the conventional way.

Add to that you have american mentality so people will tell you to just 'start a dropshipping business' because they heard about a guy who did it. It's easier to scream individuals are the problem, than to accept the system is fucked and frequent recessions are a problem not a good thing to "weed out the weak" or whatever schizo boomer shit they might use to rationalize it.

>> No.53393905

No because by 30 you probably won't want to party much, it will feel and look weird to be trying to live the youth you missed, and by 35 your hangovers will last 2-3 days. Also, the older you get, the less recoverable social mistakes become. It's better to make mistakes when you're young and the stakes are much lower.
What I did, and what I suggest, is party during the first half of your 20s but keep fit and stay on top of studies/work. In the second half start knuckling down, then you can be freer in your early 30s as your career should be smooth sailing after the work you did, and you'll be ready to settle down and have kids in your mid to late 30s.

i was in a relationship for most of my 20s and took me a while to get over that, but ultimately i resolved that i was never going to settle for anything. dated around 20 girls in my early 30s but nothing 'clicked' and absolutely could not envision me building a life with any of them.
it's also part of the double edged sword of having money - you can really fuck up by marrying or impregnating someone, it's easily the riskiest thing that i could do to my wealth.
in my day to day life i casually try and connect with people and women but if it ever feels forced i don't bother, and i absolutely try and hide my wealth at all costs as well.

It's the same social flexing and escapist cope no matter what age you are. Idk where this meme came from that you somehow get a free pass to be a degenerate retard because you're young and that makes it socially acceptable and even expected/praised. If you faggots didn't have social media and the electric jew you wouldn't have all this gay fomo and age anxiety about "missing out on youth"

These fixed life trajectories only work for normies who end up wageslaving for shit pay, or are just lucky Chads and Stacies. Do what you want. I saved up $750k in my 20s. It's not like I worked 16hr a day to do that, but I did apply myself both academically, professionally and in crypto
