So, I tried to short the pump last friday, was finally liquidated today, and I lost $180. I am beyond upset. I was stressed out for a whole week, never up more than $50 in profit...and then liquidated. I want to make that $180 back, but I'm wary of trying to trade futures again.

There was a time when I made money with futures, but at some point things changed and I started losing every single trade. This was my first futures trade in nearly 2 years. I thought it would dump a little bit and I could make enough money to buy a little bit more than I otherwise would have. And then nothing.

I just wish I could go back in time 2 weeks and buy or long it. I kept waiting for my next paycheck...and when I got my paycheck I watched btc pump 2-3k that day, by the time I got home it had pumped, so I shorted. I just want that money back, but I'm not doing anything right now, because I know emotional decisions just lead to loss

I lost $10,000 (in gains) trading futures back in summer of 2021. I never ever want to repeat those kind of losses again. I didn't profit in 2021 bull run, I lost it all by selling too late, and then trying to recoup my "losses" by trading futures, and ultimately I just ended up breaking even. I've essentially waited since June 2021 to buy back in, and only now was getting ready, but was waiting for one more dump.

Tbh I figured it would keep going up would at least dump to 20k or 19k, at which point I would close out and then use my profits to long or just buy and hold.

I'm not going to risk money on futures anymore, only if I manage to trade properly and build up profits over time will I risk anything on futures
