Here's what I want to do with money. I'm looking for feedback.
Money will obviously be gold and silver, but it will be gold AND silver. It will be a coin about 3 inches in diameter with gold in the center. The gold in the center should be about the diameter of a Canadian quarter. The entire coin will have an even thickness of about 75% of an 8th inch. (Sorry, no metric ruler in hands reach.)
The coins can come in different admixtures of copper. Fine or almost zero copper. 10% copper. 80% copper. This will make for bigger coins as the weights will always be the same. Base the weights on the fine model's measurements.
Each coin will require its own insignias. The gold coin holds the engraving of a hummingbird on the obverse and a bow or a crossbow on the reverse. The silver coin will have small insignias of a crown placed opposite each other on the coin. It doesn't particularly matter the arrangement so long as each face has two crowns opposed.
The coin will need to be minted with the date and country of minting. A poem would be a nice addition as well.
Most of the silver surface would be blank because the really neat part of these coins is that they can play music. I'm pretty sure that sort of technology has been done all ready but we might need to make custom players for it.
The rim should be reeded, obviously. It should also have a small image of a bee or of honeycomb. Honeycomb reeding?
It should be possible, though difficult, to pop out the gold center to make change.
I leave this to your thoughts, gentlemen! Have fun with it. If you feel inspired to design, do research or other such by all means do so.
Also, the motto for the coin shall be Polygamia Triumphatrix. The fineness words shall be 'FINE' or 'COIN' or 'CANADIAN.'

How to make a hammered coin.
Take a coin and hammer out the nines. Pound them out so someone unfamiliar with the coin would not know nines were there. Once your done hammer it a little bit more with the intent of making it more like a concave surface. It should be able to spin on the opposite face once done. Some times I just do things, y'know? I wanted to hit something and I don't like the nine-nine-nine that looks like six-six-six and wanted to do something with it. It was cathartic. Removed a lot of the fear of that number from me.
