Pick up a copy of your local building code, even with experience you are not going pour your own foundations. Once you are out of the ground and roughed in you can do the rest with a code book and inspections. It will be hell, but doable

You kinda have to grind through the ranks and pay your dues through the years.
It can take a while to make your way up the pay scale.

Do a major amount of piss work or get lucky when a union operation hires. Find out what businesses are big in ur area and look up how they hire. It is guaranteed to be crooked and unfair but u gotta follow their stupid rules because once ur in u get paid. They are using people up out there though and basically you should have gone to college and been a chad because blue collar struggling is no kind of life

NOT CARPENTRY.
You will have everyone up your ass. You will have to babysit every other trade. The entire project is on you. You have to be the most knowledgeable and capable person there and you will make 1/2 what the people you are in charge of make.

Go electrician or pipe fitter or plumber. Anything but carpentry. Thank me later. I'm a chippy and I hate my fucking life. Especially working under old dipshit fucks who think they have a clue on things they've never done. Just finished putting a boot on a metal roof. The retard foreman demanded i use fucking asphalt tar instead of getting me more plastic cement that he also wanted me to use. Utterly BRAINDEAD. You screw that shit down and then silicon it. But this retard had me gunk a bunch of asphalt tar on it that is just sliding down the roof and not screw it while blaming me for an already broken piece of pvc that was clearly melted. The amount of dipshits in this business will make you go insane.
