You're only looking at half the gambling (at a single table). That's not half the total volume of all trading of everything. Stocks have volume, individual stock options have volume, bonds have volume. Even SPY has it's own volume, although it's smaller than the futures since most gamblers would rather take long-term gains status on a portion of winnings.

I'm not going to waste my time listing out every single person that's outperformed for an extended stretch of time for you. There are plenty. Subtract fees and the list grows exponentially. Eventually, scale makes outperformance impossible. You'd end up owning the entire world. Of course, incentives often make it more profitable to run some retarded portfolio and focus more on generating hype to increase AUM like Cathy Wood.

None of it means anything anyway. The key problem is "the market" is not even the whole market. Usually people who say that mean S&P500 specifically. Maybe back when DOW was winning, they meant that.. but what about Russell? What about foreign markets? What about VTI? What about alternative investments? What about treasuries?
Nikkei is literally down since 1990. If you use something like that as your metric, everyone wins.

My original argument was about trivially finding profitable opportunities to trade based on human knowledge. I've pointed out several. Maintaining overall rate of return is another story. It's not as trivial, but it can be done.
With a bot, there are really two goals. First goal is to be profitable. Your bot could just camp treasuries and it'd pass that. Second goal is to generate enough ROIC that it's worth running.
