Assuming inflation and prices stayed the same as what they are now, I'd need about 2-3 million. Even though I went to college and stuff, I've basically been a poorfag in terms of income. I'm in my early 30s and still don't even make 45k per year.

Yet despite that I am able to have my own nice one bedroom apartment, a car, I am able to afford food, and I go to multiple concerts per month (not big expensive ones all the time, counting small 10-15 dollar shows too).

Point being, I can survive on little money. I figure I need 300k-400k per decade. If I'm lucky enough to live 6 more decades until I'm in my 90s, that's like 2.4 million that I would need.

Of course there are medical expenses and unexpected shit, and with inflation realistically I'd need 3-5 million. But I think even with just 2 million I'd be fine and happy.

Most likely even with that money I would still wage somewhat, but it would be a huge weight off my shoulders to know that I could leave my job at any time without any serious consequences.
