Should I move back in to financially support my mother? My dad died and I'm kind of struggling with what to do about it since she doesn't work but our relationship sucks. This is very true. As you get into old age you regress to a child. My parents are like children at this point. Very specific wants and needs and don't really want to do anything they don't want to do. I could never live with them long-term (though I stay with them for a week or so sometimes and vice-versa for holidays). I am very frustrated at the end of the week, it would ruin my relationship if I lived with them right now unless the house we were living in had like an in-law suite that's separated.
