So, /biz/, are you really going to sleep on the future of finance? There is simply no competition between Algorand and the rest.

OP, you arent actually retarded enough to thing that Algorand actually handles that many real transactions do you?

Anon, there's literally a block address you can verify yourself with the amount of swaps, it's in the fucking infographic. Literally plug in the 8 digits and you'll see how they actually did process ~10k swaps in a single block (3-5 secs)

Bullish, but why did it go down 20% lower than june lows? What's the catch?

>> No.53195130

SHIT tokenomics. Horrible distribution plus their foundation is hyper-incompetent.

The bullish case is that they're purposefully incompetent since that was what their connections with the SEC advised them to do (Gensler and Micali are really familiar with each other).

The bearish case is that it has been a failure from the get-go and they've tried to correct course a thousand times just to find themselves paddling in circles. At the EoD it's not a scam, just not a particularly sound investment. It does seem most of the pain (w/r to dilution) is over, but VCs have NEVER been ITM on it, so it looks like they'll likely be dumping sometime next cycle, if they haven't written it off altogether by now.

Anon, think about it. Does it make any sense that an obscure network that never tops anyones smart contract list is doing 300X the amount of swaps as Ethereum? I dont care what a block explorer says because plenty of shit networks fake activity. Do you actually think those are real people making real swaps?

>25k unique active wallets according to dappradar

It's obviously bots generating the picture stats, its literally advertising from 2 dapps. Unique users are climbing though along with monthly DeFi volume, L1 contender for the pre-halving run

I hope this is bait, else OP could be a literal retard

>> No.53196140

Wow, you mean to tell me that 130 permissioned nodes with high end hardware and enterprise grade internet, located at strategic locations around the world to minimize hops in the network, hand picked and over-compensated by the Algorand Foundation themselves, make for a very fast and cheap L1 network? That's genius! I don't know why everyone doesn't just copy this simple trick. It's a technological breakthrough.

>> No.53196821

>>53194192
There is not enough liquidity on algorand for this to be meaningful. You can AMM swap $1000 max. Transaction volume is a more useful metric and Algorand is orders of magnitude behind ETH and even SOL/AVAX on that front.

A quick check on tinyman shows liquidity is over $5 mil. At all time high prices, that would have been worth close to a hundred mil.

That's just one DEX too. I'd say that's a respectable amount if liquidity

>> No.53197677

There is nothing innovative about increasing the gas limit dramatically and then running the nodes through a handful of giant data centers.

It's like saying VISA is the world's greatest cryptocurrency company because their "stablecoin" network is capable of running 50,000 transactions per second.

Because tech doesn't mean shit, normies are retarded and they don't care if your network does 10 or 10k TPS. Cute dog? To the moon!
>>53195264
News flash moron, being the first does not mean you will be the best. It was a network test (on mainnet) and it was done on a mainnet DEX. If that's faking it then everything, including ETH, is fake.
