You HAVE invested in pic related and keep it in your kitchen, right /biz/? It's one of the cheapest investments with greatest ROI you can make.

why do you need a fire extinguisher in the house?

u aint gonna have a fire whilst you're there (unless you're an idiot)

fires only happen when you're out the house

ok i guess random appliance blowing up whilst you're watching it COULD happen but less likely than getting struck by lightning

It is always better to be prepared for any possibility, no matter how unlikely it may seem, rather than to be caught off guard and potentially suffer the consequences

Even if you are present and take all necessary precautions, accidents can still happen - such as a pot on the stove boiling over or an electrical short causing an appliance to catch fire. In these cases, having a fire extinguisher could potentially help you quickly extinguish the flames and prevent further damage.

I bet you don't even carry around a multitool with you at all times either.

Imagine being so goddamned poor and European that you produce giant grease fires in your matchbox-sized apartment kitchen. Imagine not investing in a much larger fire extinguisher for the much larger potential fires like your giant lawn mower that you use to mow your giant American lawn.

Feels so goddamned good being American. Imagine not having back yards and burgers and fries cooked outdoors with propane and propane accessories. Holy shit if I were foreign I'd never post on 4chan again just out of sheer embarrassment.

Fireman here.
Unironically a good investment. K class if you're a shitty cook or ABC if you're shitty in general. Also, a $20 plug-in carbon monoxide detector could save your life.

Stay safe anons. WAGMI

Checked, and no. Also, CO doesn't rise to the top like smoke - it mixes with oxygen at bed/room level which is what makes it so dangerous.

If you have a choice, install a CO detector into a wall plug instead; as it'll relay the detection way before it reaches ceiling level.

yes and i also have a fiberglass fire blanket. i've never had to deal with a fire in my home but i have had to deal with large and aggressive fires in an industrial setting. it's scary and it can get out of hand REALLY fucking quick.

also pro tip, spend the extra money and get a fire extinguisher with an all metal valve/handle assembly and check the pressure gauge once a year. i've read about the cheap shitty plastic ones leaking and breaking.
