Well for more detailed instructions:
https://www.myetherwallet.com/#contracts
Under "Contract Address" you put the address of the EtheremonProcessor contract, found here:
https://etherscan.io/address/0x8a60806f05876f4d6db00c877b0558dbcad30682#code
In MEW's "ABI" box you paste the entire text from the "Contract ABI" box from Etherscan.

Then you click "Access" and will see a drop down box, select catchMon and input the ID of the mon you want to catch (The number at the end of the URL when you look at it on the official etheremon website) and its name, then generate transaction and send at least enough ETH to cover the cost of the mon. Any extra ETH you send is refunded, so you might want to put slightly more in case the cost increases while you're buying (just like Catching Power in the main website).

You can cash out as much or as little as you like, but gas costs make it more practical to cash out larger amounts. Well it's nice for the people playing it too but yeah, right now it's basically a preorder attached to a pyramid scheme. The stats and types associated with battle area already assigned to the mons, so we're just waiting for the actual battle functionality to provide the real gameplay. After battling will come trading, where we can sell our mons to other users so they can battle or evolve them, and I'm buying mons because I expect they'll be more valuable to users then than they cost for me now.

So that's all. I'm betting on the future of this project just like anyone else who buys coins with no finished products, e.g. LINK. But with the added bonus that because I bet a little bit earlier than most who bet on it, I get my bet back.

Because all you can do is breed CryptoKitties. And breed they did, into fucking oblivion until the only kitties that are even remotely profitable are the newest traits they release periodically, until eventually those too get bred in the tens of thousands over the course of a couple days.

I made a lot on CryptoKitties and invested some of that into this game, because I know that if you could have fucking battled CryptoKitties they would have stayed around a lot fucking longer than that. These mons will be valuable because some will be much stronger than others, and the way the price/return system works keeps them very scarce, so if one of these original mons happens to be especially strong in battle, the people holding them will be very lucky.

You're absolutely right and that in my opinion is the biggest threat to this game. People keep FUDding about how the creator could theoretically exit scam but I don't really care about that, because there's little motivation to do so vs. actually developing a game and profiting off that.

So that means what will REALLY fuck this project over is if one with actual gameplay and polish releases before the battle and leveling features come for this. It's very hard to estimate how likely that is but there's no doubt many CryptoKitty clones in the works, the question is how many of them are just about collecting vs. how many will try to be "real" games like this one will. I'm taking the bet that this will get functional before any of those projects surface, but frankly even if they do I'll just move on over to them with my profits from this game.

Really? You really don't think that a Pokémon-styled game on the blockchain where you can battle others and make money if you're good at it has any chance of success? Personally I come from the gaming world and I can tell you that if they implement battling even half-competently, this will be fucking huge. There's literally nowhere else you can do that right now... not even here because it isn't done yet, which seems to be your biggest and only issue with the game in the first place.

If this was just a "game" where you buy mons and get returns from future suckers, then I'd be 100% agreeing with you. But I'm buying mons for the game this will become, not what it is now.
