I've been buying all month.
Can't remember exactly what the buys are but something like 0.014ish, 0.0115ish, 0.00109ish.
Actually started playing Defira for the first time since the prices are so low I can justify it even though I was into it(as a trade) way back when I launched.
It's a bit better than I expected. Kind of interesting in an autistic spreadsheet game kind of way.
It actually makes me realize I missed out on some fun playing DFK during the bullrun. But when I first started using DFK there was literally no game at all and it was just a dex. So I kind of got stuck to that first impression and continued to use it as a dex. Plus the idea of spending hundreds of dollars for a floor character to even see what it was about seemed sketch, but probably could have got the money back.
Anyway, if the Harmony team doesn't like go all in and support Tranq and Defira the chain is fucked since that and Fuzz are really all that's left atm from what I see.
Letting all the users slip away slowly over the months here without putting up any fight was a big mistake. I don't really get what they're thinking at this point.
Think of how many people we had in the summer vs now.
I think it's possible to get people back, but it takes real effort to do so. But who's going to put in that effort, what's their incentive to do so? I mean I bought here, so I have a bit of incentive to care but at this point it's going to be a real struggle.
The potential is there though. The chain works well and if you give people a reason to use it again it would seem easy to get some momentum back.
They actually have to care though. So who knows.

Also now that all the archive sites are gone we've lost(or I've lost) all the old memes from the /h1g/ days.

I honestly don't know since despite being on Harmony the whole time I never bothered playing DFK.
It seems like the base part of it is the same at least. I think the difference is the direction they plan to take it in the future. I know they want to do more of a 4X style of game and have seen some art relating to that. But none of that is implemented yet.
The team is quite good technically and are funded to work though the bear. Roadmap for the next year is coming soon apparently. Afaik next thing they're adding is some kind of arena mode or something.

I still have a micro sized bag, locked up in fuzz. It's the only apt I kept and only because I couldn't be bothered withdrawing it at such a huge loss. Lesson learned though for sure.

No. There are very few non-tech people left right now. Lots of downsizing the past months leading to a particularly big lay off in Nov that hit a lot of people, except all those in technical roles were spared to double down on cross-shard atomic transactions and such.
