Tesla is the greatest company to exist. I invested $15 million into Tesla at $540 per share and holding strong. I’m down $12 million and doubling down. I mortgaged my house and convinced my parents to dump their life saving retirement in the stock today. Price target is $2,000.

There are 7.8 billion people in the world. If each one of them bought a $80,000 Tesla that equals $626,960,000,000,000 in revenues. Tesla can easily take 100% of the car market share. Multi-trillion valuation baby. Shorts are going to get squeezed so freaking hard.

Tesla market cap in 2025 will be worth more than the US GDP and China GDP combined. Get ready longs. Tesla is the King stock. No better company to ever exist.

Put your kids college fund into Tesla and thank me 3 months from now.

This anecdote fits my view that TSLA decline is mostly dip buyers failing to catch the knife, becoming bagholders and capitulating into other dip buyers.
This could theoretically continue all the way down, although it's more likely we'll see a small dead cat bounce at some point before spiraling the rest of the way. There's simply no fundamental basis for TSLA trading where it was. There never was. It was all just bullshit flows and momentum propping it up as "passive" tried to force tesla into everything to leech the outperformance.
The true believer space god Elon cultists are irrelevant - they rode the whole way up and they'll ride the whole way back down, but now Elon's selling created a $20+ billion gap. Swing traders can no longer pull off their gamma squeezes. It's just dead money.

It's not Teslas have horrible quality control and the stock was at one point evaluated to be worth all of the other auto makers combined. TSLA is just a gamma squeeze stock and many have known this for a long time. Many aren't short because the upside is just as risky as the downside. But it's evaluation cannot be justified with it being some tech company spin-off that makes an auto pilot that kills people.

That quota would increase each year and is expected to reach 51% of all new car sales in 2028, 68% in 2030 and 100% in 2035. Thats cool bro. Literally from now til mid feb its actually a viable strat to spend $1000 before close each day buying 1.5% OTM puts that expire the following day.

There are around 40 trading days between now and mid feb and we should see a retracement of the S and P to 340 or so.

This leads to a high likelihood of at least two 3% down days within that 40 day period. Meaning you will make over $30k USD at least twice ($60k), while spending only $40k, netting you a $20k gain.

I can show up late by a bit a few times a week and they're just thankful I didn't call off, and I can support most of the staff. I even got first aid and forklift certifications for free, which eventually led to a $0.40 raise. I work in Ontario and get about $17.20/hr, which isn't a ton but it's consistent the stock program has been good to me during that time. Either works except you are more vulnerable with a large position in longer term puts.

If Jerome comes out and says its pivoot time, or Brandon fires him to put some pivoot kike in there, then you lose a lot in your held overnight long term puts with high premiums.

The 1dte option eliminates the large risk to your initial position and merely relies on there being at least a big down day or two at some point during a worsening recession.

Not a bad idea from that perspective. In fact it is a fairly strong one from a risk-reward standpoint. Low risk, high reward. I suppose after 40 days of no dips over 2% on spy that would kill your account balance but.. lets be honest... how likely is that?

It turns out, you can tell by looking at the history and volatility numbers. Guess what, I am going to make fortune ;)

I'm an INTJ and like being creative, so I find trading and such more engaging than overseeing a bunch of idiots running around. I've lost my temper a few times too, and I think it would reflect very poorly if I was in a managerial role and it happened, so I never really pursued it. I do try to help out with odd jobs like backroom and admin stuff, but those roles are fairly well covered, though I do get along with everyone.

The NNFX system was designed for forex/CFDs but can be applied to other markets as well. It uses ATR, has a baseline, two confirmation indicators, a volume, and exit indicator. Roughly, I've found that using SSL (semaphore signal levels) with ATR and Hull MA to be a really strong starting point. Just need to filter out bad trades on backtesting, tweak it for a few different asset classes, and then I can start forward testing it for a few months.
Side note: it also risks 2% account size on a trade, SL at 1.5x ATR, TP at 1.0x ATR (where you sell half and let the win continue to go).

But from what I've tested, it will usually miss the entire peak/valley (picrel) and exit way later than it needs to. Eg, from entry to peak was 46%, but when my exit finally triggered, it was back down to only 18% profit on that trade, which is not ideal. I don't want to call the top/bottom, but I want a reasonable exit where I don't just lose half my profit because it's slow. I'll take a look at the ones you suggested and see if they're useful in my system

NTA obviously, but I got approved for options this year and signed up for level 4 options (eg ability to write uncovered contracts, need $25k minimum balance). I was generally fairly careful with those, but most of the time I ended up pissing away like $3k this year (a good chunk of that was from trading fees, as well). I'd suggest trying to get a broker that doesn't fucking charge $10/trade plus $1/contract.
I understand the greeks and how you accept risk on some to receive reward on others (eg shorting delta but long theta while being gamma neutral or whatever), but I often just used it to trade on leverage and made stupid trades that I had no business trading (0dte, ERs, etc etc). I think looking at option flow and volume can be useful as well. Most of my gains were from selling covered calls on UUUU while it ranged between $6-9 this year.

One thing I might try doing is when I swing trade stocks, I could buy eg 200 shares and when I hit my TP, instead of selling 100, I'd just write a deep ITM CC for the extra premium. Not sure how that's pan out, since swing trading is supposed to be trend-based and you wouldn't hold it for a long time.

>There will be no more growth in the US
Most countries have declining birthrates, though. This was a huge factor for economic expansion during the 70s and 00s if I remember correctly, so if there's a general population, stagnation, decline, or idiocracy-tier failure, then we'll crab at best for the next decade, or just slowly bleed off value. You maximise profit by buying around -1.5% down from the current price on 1dte puts because if you see a 3% leg down in a day, you make roughly 1.5% of the S and P 500 price in a day per contract, so around $500 per contract. And if you bought those contracts at EOD the prior day, you probably spent around $20 per contract. 50 contracts costs $1000.

This means you make roughly $25000 off a $1000 investment in 1dte calls. The return is bretty good.

I ought to read up on some more financial history, then. I know Japan has had negative interest rates for a while and it forms the basis of carry trades on forex (specifically yen/kiwi pairs) which is what, 3-4% on the interest rate spread historically? Of course, you'd have to hedge the exrate with a forward contract so you're net neutral and can enjoy the spread for the duration.

I just scalp during big moves, I used to be more about it but after fucking myself over and over again. I keep a hard cap limit on myself to only operate within a certain time frame within the day, make profits by then and just not even look at the charts until everything closes.
