I agree, but it makes an assumption that all crypto is useless. Not all crypto is useless, meaning if you manage to pick a good investment and hold for long enough you can significantly increase your chances of success and it's therefore no longer gambling.

Its not gambling if you have strategy to make money, like relying on statistics to profit from many trades with positive expected value. Its gambling when you are just hoping. Like buying a moonshot, and just hoping it will 1000x one day. That's gambling. But if you're doing research and trading at strategic times its not gambling.

A lot of people gamble with crypto, just like the stock market, and especially stock options, and commodities too. its not unique to crypto investors, and its retarded to say "all' crypto investing is gambling.

everything is gambling in life, there is no way to know the future, you just try your best to predict the best choice.

would going to med school and become a doctor have made your life better? probably, but it could also have initiated a butterly effect sequence of events leading you to get hit by a bus and die 5 years ago. congratulations, everything is a gamble.

It's true that everything is a gamble, but crypto definitely has its fair share of earning opportunities that can be safer than traditional options. From liquidity mining to staking, there are plenty of ways to get in on the action and potentially come out ahead. So if you're feeling adventurous and want to try something new, crypto might be worth a shot

OP I'm going to level with you most of my money I got from crypto was thanks to trading DOGE, VINU and SHIB. Then I put some money into literal ponzi schemes like Pancakeswap pools and the like, then I bought altcoin that are nothing but hype driven.

I don't think anyone lucid enough is going to be offended by that statement. It's true. You can argue it isn't 100% gamba because you researched beforehand but in the end it *is* gambling and most major alts from like a year ago practically collapsing today are enough proof of that.

If you don't see the benefit in something as simple as being able to transfer money from the US to Australia at the speed of an email without hefty banking fees and "3-5 business days" at minimum, or having your financial account ACTUALLY be up to date in real time instead of having invisible pending fees from a check your landlord cashed last week after holding onto it for a month in his picket, then I'm not sure what to say. That's literally just the surface use for this tech.

>Muh venmo/paypal/cashapp

Same banking rails, less anonymity. Try sending someone $1k from your Venmo with $200 in your bank account and watch as Venmo magically prints the "money" from thin air to send to your recipient. Eventually the bank will get back to Venmo and say you don't have the funds, which in turn leads to an overdraft fee for you and a resubmission of the charge from Venmo (which triggers a second overdraft fee) until you actually have the funds. Your account will be frozen and Venmo will harass you and your bank until they're made whole, but somewhere along the lines your recipient magically got money printed from thin air into his account that he can spend freely.

People who don't think there's a need for this tech have simply never thought about how retarded our current infrastructure for moving money around is. They're stuck in the age of thinking the internet is pointless because we have the telephone, radio, and television in the 90's. When you're complacent, it's hard to recognize where the deficiencies are, and if you're not creative it's hard to imagine how they can be improved.

I'm not even "investing" in this tech, I literally use it. My bank account has like $6k in it while my wallets have over $300k combined. I trust it more than my bank, it's more efficient, and it's way easier to pay people now than ever. Don't have to dox my email or phone number, don't have to go through the headache of questioning if a check will bounce, etc.

It isn't gambling because in a game of cards, that's mostly up to chance. The deck determines your gain. In the crypto world there is informed decision making. People get bullish on things and collectively decide. I guess it's gambling kind of like a fantasy football league and less like a dice game.
