Anybody get anything for Christmas eve?
My brother surprised me with a silver card, wanted one of these since I see them posted on /pmg/ a lot. It also had the COA and anti-static paper as a bonus
But the REALLY cool part is the little metal piece in my hand, it's a retired US mint coin die.
Coin shop ended up giving it to my brother with the silver card since they like us there
Unfortunately it didn't come with the box and coin it originally came with, but it's free so I'm not worried
Is there a way to tell what exactly it minted based off of the serial number? It says "D4-454063", that's the only identifying mark it has.

generally the most common "mineral" substances composing the earth are silicon and oxygen based so think quartz, feldspars etc but this is honestly a pretty deep question as the earth is composed of different layers and those layers have their own composition as well. For the surface of the earth your looking at silicon based minerals. Quartz would probably be number one but i can double check in a bit. The feldspar group is pretty huge too.

Avoid sensationalist bullshit, silver and gold will always hold value but I must've seen "it's go MOON" twenty fucking times here, it just doesn't happen
IF it goes up, consider that a bonus.

Silver traditionally does the opposite of whatever the US dollar does. So when the Fed fully pivots, the money printers come back on. All the lenders will probably fire out crazy stacks at record rates and inflation will kick back into gear. Silver will shoot back up.

US hoards by far the highest amount of gold in the world (at least on paper). China and Russia are in the top 10. Arabs have begun slurping gold by the tons. Turkey - a country in deep economic crisis - spent billions slurping gold just this year instead of using that money more efficiently. There's an undeniable run on gold by the biggest economies...
and people are still unironically referring to gold as 'boomer rocks' and trying to dismiss it as only being useful in a world where civilization collapses and we turn into a Mad Max movie. Why do bag holders hate gold to such an irrational degree? No one in /pmg/ is saying hold all your savings in gold. Hell if someone said they're holding even 20k worth of gold posters ITT would be saying that's an impressive stack. Fascinating...

take a look at the all time chart for silver spot price history and compare that to the historical events that were happening at the time.
For example, around 2011, silver was almost $50/oz. spot.
As recently as 2003, 2004ish, Silver spot was just below $5/oz.

Now of course today we are living in bizzaro clown world ver. 11.6, so hard to say what could happen next.

Diamonds are just pieces of highly regulated and overpriced carbon but other gemstones can be very complex and not always easy to fake depending on their composition and structure. I bought some opal on ebay s couple of years ago and that shit had air bubbles and casting marks on it, but it depends on the the kind of mineral. Back when i bought this stuff i would avoid stuff like halite and fluorite because you can make those in your kitchen. I also avoided all types of quartz because it is just glass lmao

Also most gems have very low utility unlike pms

Question

I’m tempted to buy platinum. It’s a noble metal like gold and silver after all and they do make coins out of it. My go to has been gold lately but as I see it platinum is harder to extract and refine, it is more rare on the ,wrote and is around half the price of gold. Up until now My main reservation is that it’s basically silver in appearance but atomically not silver. My opinion is that platinum and especially palladium should be of more value than gold all things considered. Gold does look like gold though and that’s the best.

I never see it posted here. Do people actually stack it?

I like all 5 of the precious metals, though I think Rh is having its come-uppance right now.
Gold and Pt are slightly high right now, but Pd would be at a good low "buy" point on the charts, relatively speaking, but vendors; prices do not reflect this theory.

Ultimately, I think Pt is a good thing to have, but I would not like to pay more than $1k/ozt for now.

Cheers. I went down a massive rabbit hole looking into this as I started to ask questions on all sorts of things like what's the difference between rocks and stones, why can identical compounds be different things like crystalline formations and hydrocarbons, what is an element/chemical bond and why do they release energy when bonding, what are ion electromagnetic bonds, elementary particles, cosmic speed limit, Planck units. Why am I only paying attention to this stuff now when it would have been more useful to me when I was at school.

Do you have all of them? I’d like to see a gold, silver, and platinum eagle lined up. The only thing search engines show is gay ass photoshopped marketing pics of them together.

I’ll probably buy one anyway cause I should have at least one platinum eagle in the collection but I’d really hate to get it and have is be effective,y a silver coin with a different design.

I like the idea of platinum but I’ve never actually held it. Is it special like golf or just a fancy silver?

Thanks for spreading the information around the site, I wonder why I never clued in on this stuff before

Think that could happen again? Or should I just get my stack started ASAP? Although I'm sure a dip would only save me a few hundred dollars.

Anyone else receive PMs for Christmas? My buddy got me a couple of ironic coins. Doge coin because he knows I hate crypto and Elon Musk, and Christ nailed to the cross because HE hates organised religion of any kind. He said he wanted to get me the Exodus coin (the kikes getting away) because he knows I'm not fond of the tribe and thought I'd have a laugh, but couldn't find one in stock.

So when I opened my gift and saw the bible coin holder box, I immediately knew what series it was and asked him if it was the "Jesus cleansing the temple" coin. He laughed and said for some reason that coin was out of stock as well.

Hope all my frens here are lucky enough to have frens out there as thoughtful as mine. I'm off to buy overpriced coins with the Walmart and Amazon gift cards I received from my folks. Have a good morning frens, I'll be back later.

Why such a hig voltage (24V), I don't fucking know. Most metal usually don't go further than 3V (I mean, in batteries, you use couple of metal/oxydes and the highest I am aware of is ~4.2V with Lithium...)

yes i know, i was the anon that posted that. silver is literally a retards non investment. you know who buys silver? poor people. you know who buys actual investments like art and land and tons of stocks, people with money. poor people have magic thinking that rocks are going to save them. notice tons of idiots on here post pictures of their tiny pile of silver coins thinking they are going to save them? or that they are somehow fighting some system by owning a couple silver coins. it's really twisted magical thinking. it's lolbertarian losers who don't have a lot of money, so this magical thinking makes them feel like they have some sort of power and control and that they are part of something. when in fact it's the opposite. they are part of a large poor pathetic class of losers that have zero power. they are part of the poor losers club that happen to collect useless metals. that's the club they are in. the faggot club.

I make it all the time. Get 9999 silver rods, or use two silver maples.

I use 3 9v batteries in series and two alligator clips. I use rods spaced apart with holes in a wooden dowel, but if you're using coins you can just have the clips attached to the dowel. Make sure the clips don't touch the water, only the silver should be submerged.

I run batches on tap water for about 15 minutes. I use it for animals on the farm to keep bacteria from growing in their water tanks.

For human drinking grade, use distilled water, but let it run for a few hours.

If you are retarded diversification can save your ass from losing everything when investing. However if you are not retarded, and understand how the market will shift to commodities, diversification is retarded. Invest in what you think will do well in an inflationary environment, and if you have extra cash to save, put it into precious metals. Very easy and straightforward now that I think about it.

I suspect that this "Great Reset" that the WEF and other 'influential' groups are pushing globally is going to cause the financial system as a whole to collapse, forcing central banks to revalue gold to keep them afloat.

Silver will benefit the most from this in both the short, and long term. Eventually the gold-to-silver ratio will shrink to approximately 1-to-20. This makes silver incredibly undervalued and the best investment that I can think of currently.

I have lots of money, I have lots of rocks, same as every first world government, or bank. You don't have lots of money or rocks, because you are poor. That's why you are here and upset with all the anons that do have money and rocks.
