I floundered socially, was the newest guy there and paid substantially less than other people doing the same thing. But whenever a fuck up would happen, I'd always get the blame. They used me as a scapegoat and it made it so I could never grow. So it's best they let me go, plus I got a comfy EI period since I was let go without reason and couldn't find other employment for a while.

1st- was interviewed for a very entry level dumb position and was able to sweep the female interviewer (department manager) off her feet and promise her I would revolutionise the department and do novelty things she hadn’t even thought off exponentially raising the department revenue. Was partially true, she bought it and I successfully negotiated a 50% increase pay before starting, A couple months after, she left the company for a better position and they got some fuck head to do the initial job for the initial pay.
2- I was out of job and needed to get on my feet quick. Found job as a waiter. A new manager arrived (the gayest pedo looking fuck in the whole world). I did some joke towards a female coworker from the baltics (innocent banter, like how she ought to respect me bc I was older. Next thing I know I’m called to speak with pedo Joe and he tells me all aggravated that I had said something problematic or whatever. Just told him I didn’t need that and quit.
3- knocked in some jet ski company asking for a part time. Guy tells me to start the following day and whether I would like to stay full time. I couldn’t quit my job then so de line. Stay two weeks part time and he calls me to let me go. He had found someone full time.
All in all, couldn’t care less. All of those jobs were things I truly got out of my way to find and think the experience was somewhat cool. Except the waiter one. I actually could never have kept there because it was really too below my intelectual level, so I believe I was waiting time there and would have come to end regardless.

I've told this story on biz before, but I was fired for talking shit on FB about George Floyd. Was a brief comment on a friend's post, but his friend ratted on me to my boss who turned out to be a turbo-lib and fired me same day. Yes. I made a huge sale and my boss suddenly changed his tune on my commission after 3 years of being really consistent with it. I had grown my branch (only salesman at a small satellite branch) exponentially in the 3 years I worked there (doubled sales numbers year over year 3 years in a row). He started doing all this weird shit like telling me I was no longer getting commission on sales under $1,000 and being late on paying me more and more often. Eventually I made a $80,000 sale ($4,000 commission) and he told me I wasn't getting it because I owed him for 3 years of getting commission on the < $1,000 sales.

I told him to get fucked and he told me I was fired. Weird as fuck because we had a pretty decent working relationship before all this. Anyways, in small claims I got severance + my missing commission. About a year later he fell down some stairs drunk and now he's a paraplegic and the company is failing. Pretty sad, actually. I was planning on building a career there.

Some construction site, a job I didn't really want, but still got hired. I had to do stuff I had little or no previous experience. I had to assemble some stuff alone, which really needed extra hands, so I used whatever I found on the site to try to hold the shit together, but eventually it just fell apart, bending or cutting some of the bolts needed and of course there wasn't enough spare ones.
The boss did plenty of fuck ups himself like gave wrong measurements, but never took blame for himself.

Got ratted out by a co-worker when I realized we were getting paid different amounts for doing the exact same job, For example I was on a stupidly low rate, lower than people who were less qualified, newer, there were people more experienced, longer there than me, far better workers, getting paid even less than me, we also had multiple experiences of wage theft. I was doing one of those internships where supposedly if you perform well you get hired. This was one for one of the world's biggest engineering consultancy firms so I didn't think it was a scam. I'd been a fresh grad who was jobless for a year so obviously I took it out of desperation.

The internship period was for 6 months. I worked hard and was lauded and praised almost every other day by my manager and teammates with really nice compliments. Eventually, my manager quit after telling me that the associate director was a prick but that she recommended me for getting hired before leaving. Well, time passes and I get let go by email 2 days before I was supposedly set to get hired without an opportunity to talk to anyone about it and had to come in to the office in the weekend to turn in my shit. My new line manager was nice enough to give me a call and try to console me but she didn't dare mention how badly the situation was handled, why I wasn't given notice, or why my hopes were raised so high which pissed me off.

The whole thing really pissed me off, left me very bitter and shattered my confidence, and I can't help feeling that I was abandoned by the people on the team that I thought I befriended. I found out recently that the associate director was getting fired so I may try to reapply since everyone there likes me except for him but I'm not sure how good my prospects are anymore. I've been in a jobless slump ever since this happened.

Got into an argument with a manager.
I was working loss prevention at Best Buy with a really shitty highschool tier mindset workplace. There were a handful of employees who were chill and just did their job, friendly in passing, but most employees management especially had this nepotism popularity thing going on and it was genuinely toxic. The GM was a balding black manlet who thought he was chad for having done 4 years in the army. He hated me because he made a mistake and accidentally hired me permanently instead of seasonal. I started in sales, had absurdly great numbers compared to everyone else for the low hours I was getting and me being a socially anxious sperg. The main warehouse in Miami had everyone quit during Christmas and I offered to help out. Spent Christmas and my birthday working with a regional manager loading TVs at 4am then driving across the state to install and set them up in rich elderly peoples homes. Came back and tehy tell me all loss prevention quit same day, beg me to help out for a while until they hire new people. Job is literally just staring at a screen signing receipts radioing in for employees to make contact with suspicious people etc. I was instructed very clealry to NEVER touch anyone if they’re stealing. Just let them go if they won’t stop. When that happened the GM would throw a pissy fit and shame me

When I was 14 my moms work friends boyfriend paid me under the table to help him with his vender job (chips and shit). Only did it for a few weeks, probably made less than $300. Stopped when he, a 40+ year old had a meltdown because he never told me, a literal fucking child, not to leave the truck door open.

I’m at the point I’m starting to view jobs in terms of how can I finesse these fucks for more money. I had a job in a startup, joint ownership type of thing. 1 of the 3 founders hired me as his first ever employee, it was easy but shitty work. I had it at a point I was known company wide as a different breed because I had the best numbers worked 7 days a week and was running this dudes business solo. Waited it out until he started a new job in an ER and then he was also getting married so he has absolutely zero time for this business and expected me to handle 90% of everything. Spoke to him about a raise a few times because I was doing managerial work for $16/hr he fed me bullshit saying he didn’t have the capitol. When I ran the numbers on the low end of things, after taxes, he was profiting half a mil a month because of me. Have him a two week and had him on his knees, got the pay I wanted and conditions I needed like actual days off.


That’s how I’m going into all future jobs. They don’t care about or value us. If I can’t get a hire pay from them I’ll try to steal clients or tell clients/customers about my side business or something.
