Quite literally this. They raise the cost of tuition every year, while adding more required credit hours. How in the fuck is this legal? Education still revolves around reading a trade book available to everyone. While colleges throw on a ton of imaginary fees.

The worst part is all the movies that make colleges look like a blast, when the reality is 50% of the people that you started college with will be gone in the first semester.

I'm totally with you when they major in something useless like gender studies or arts and crafts, but being blue collar will only get you so far. Never heard of a contractor, even a high end one, living in a gated community. Major in something useful like finance or engineering and you'll do a lot better than most blue collar folks. Especially if you can get to Wall Street or Big Tech (selling soul aside). To me it makes no difference if the poor person has a degree or not, poor people are repulsive. If you're just bitter because you couldn't get accepted into college, and this is just your rebuke of the institution, than that is another matter.

I don't know about anyone else here, but when I was in elementary-school and high-school, we would regularly get speakers come in and basically tell us that we were fucked if we didn't get a degree. As in:

Finally, in grade 12, they had loan vultures come to our fucking school and sign people up for loans that had already been accepted to uni.
