I was talking with my father and his research seemed to indicate between January and February is the coldest for some places at odds with Putin right now, and thinking (not declaring) that it might be then when he pushes a gold for gas idea more strongly, causing its value to go up. Something along those lines, it was an interesting thought.
It's also interesting that Canada's mint has issued a Maple that's made from gold exclusively from a single in-country mine. Rather, it's interesting that it seems to be a new thing for 2022. I wonder if they're trying to step up their game.

No. In a population reducing event there is more silver and less people. In a high pop hyperinflationary event there private ownership of humans will not happen because that's a privilege the government keeps to itself and it's owners. Over the years my mom has been saving gold earrings that she hadn't lost, the singles. She gave them to me about a year ago in a zip lock bag. I was indeed surprised at the weight of such a small handful of gold. Shit's dense. The only other gold I own is a 5 gram Lady Fortuna pendant that hangs from my neck like a tiny anchor. I have been saving for my first oz and should be able to order it in a week or so. Can't wait.

The prices are really great : 27.69€/oz buyback for philarmonics/noah's ark/maples/.. That's 5.70€ over spot. I was almost tempted to send them few tubes i got back in 2018-19 for 15€/oz.. But me think if they do this kind of offers, it's because the demand must be absolutely insane. So i'll wait instead. And i don't wanna sit on cash anyway.

It sucks, but you have to join Facebook and find the various silver groups, like the one for The Locker Mint, to get first crack at releases; people buy them up all there, some in batches to resell later. IDK if Castronomics has a special deal / reserve or is one of the people on Facebook putting in orders when they are announced (it looks like a lot of the smaller mints work together, like CMG), it seems like a tight knit community

I’d say that you can probably find sovereigns or 20 francs for the lowest premium as far as fractional coins go. But the trick is to buy them in person, if you’re ordering online you might have to deal with sales tax which gets pretty spendy.

I got a 20 franc for 2% over melt today, and occasionally you can get stuff for melt if you’re lucky. Check out coin shows, otherwise maybe your LCS will hook you up.

>There's like a 2€ spread
0.70€ on my pic, that's insanely low. As you said, you better be moving a shitload of stuff to make it worth it. But hey, when your shop is only online it already saves you a tonne i suppose. And after all, on a monster box that's 350€. 14€ on a tube. With enough volume you are certainly making enough. Most stuff sold on supermarkets generate lower margins than that.

And before the scamdemic, when premiums were around 1.50€ above spots for gubment minted coins, how much of this premium was ending in shops' pockets? Because the mint certainly wasn't charging them spot, for them to profitably cast coins, it would at least cost 0.75€, right? If so the stores' margins already used to be below one euro.
Should be interesting to know how much they are charged for by the Austrian mint now for the phillies. Because me think it's far from spot.

The problem is the silver market have been in complete chaos since the scamdemic, and a lot of shops profited from the insane demand to line up their pockets to disgusting levels. They better not forget they are just middlemen. If they get too greedy for too long, alternatives will arise. If they make over 1.50 bux per basic coin/round, it's too much.

This is a fucking GREAT read. Except he screws the pooch in chapter 40(?) when he assumes niggers are as functionally capable as humans. Although he does show signs of wokeness early in the book when he refers to a woman and 'her' business. Dude is also clearly clueless regarding jews.

Nonetheless, 9/10. Would recommend.
