If your individual broker is dirty, they will either sell your (their) position for you in the premarket, or fold mid squeeze.
Computershare is just a transfer agent, so when you go to sell, they use multiple brokers to sell. If you have all your shares in one broker, you are counting on that broker to be solvent when you want to sell. Computershare will have access to multiple brokers to sell from. Some of your sell order could be done in one broker, and the rest in another if you catch my drift.
lastly, if this becomes an issue, it means the theory is correct and we are in a short squeeze where shorts must buy back ALL of the shares (greater than 200 percent of the float short), you can bet your ass they will be personally offering CS help during the squeeze.
