I think it could be a good way for actual bullion dealers to do business
You buy tokens, then redeem them with a mailing address
tokens get burned and metals get to you ez pz no waiting a week for the banks to clear it

This is pretty obvious now, isn't it? I would HOPE there would be universal redeemability, a la pre-Bretton Woods. But I would guess China would go straight to Bretton Woods if they can. Still, it will involve pegging gold to some currency and that will become the de facto international value for gold. So you might not, as an individual, be able to trade your gold yuan for gold, you WILL be able to trade your gold for a very large quantity of gold yuan.

You send passcode via email, or text, or snail mail, or courier, or tattoo it on a hooker's ass, or any other method you like. Recipient takes passcode to WU guy. WU guy gives gold to recipient. Done. Obviously you use some encryption or other security measures to protect the passcode in transit. That tech already exists.

They already did it once when Nixon stopped gold redemption. The whole world was holding dollars based on the promise to redeem in gold and the USA just unilaterally said "fuck off" and the world did nothing at all. Of course it is a VERY different world today, but the folks who have their gold in the Fed still are probably not going to actually DO anything if it is confiscated. Most countries already hate the USA (for good reason) so giving them yet another reason really doesn't change much.

Feeling very demoralized today bros. Watched this video the other day and it's been sitting on my shoulders like a burden ever since.

https://youtu.be/Hc5yfgeycTk

I feel robbed of better times and a better society. We've been duped, supressed, gaslit, and marginalized in so many ways across so many facets - not just our money and banking system, but our culture, relationships, education, science, history - that whenever I think on it (which is often) I get the impression of a Gordian Knot that can never be unravelled, but merely rots away.

I fear that I was born, and live, and will die in a time of passive misery which could easily have been a time of prosperity and happiness if we were brave enough to stand and point to the people responsible and beat them with controlled savagery into submission.

If you have none? Absolutely. The market on platinum is extremely tight and is a very exciting investment. If demand starts to seep out of the bond and stock market and look for a home in commodities then platinum literally has no capacity to absorb anywhere near even a teeny tiny fraction of that capital inflow. It is extremely exciting in that regard. Although until that happens, the industrial demand may cause a slouch in the price. Just be aware of liquidity of platinum, not all dealers may wish to buy/sell it.

Ok we have talked more about it and if there was to be a super small limited run of coins (100-150 tops)would you guys prefer them to all be gilded or none of them. (this affects overall price and the small run would be closer to the full gilded price for cost management) or the run would only be unserialized to keep costs down as little as possible.

reminder these runs would be super niche in concept and the shows we pull from them would not be very big but they would bo cool atleast. The main goal of these is to make smaller runs of shows we really want to see and not light money on fire. their wouldnt be a PO period but a limited sale and thats it

"I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestionable ability of man to elevate his life by a conscious endeavor." -Thoreau

If there have ever been "Golden Ages" in which humanity did not suffer tremendously, they have been few, far between, and short-lived. Most of humanity for most of history would look at your life as an improvement on theirs.. And yet people have always been able to carve out a slice of happiness for themselves and those around them. The first and most important thing you must realize is that your happiness is FAR more dependent on the way you process your experience than on your circumstances.

You CAN learn to turn on the bliss switch. The human brain is trainable and adaptable. You can train your nervous system to find happiness.

I think this "dark age" is different, though. Think of all the institutions and problems and corcumstances existing now which are relatively recent, basically brand new in the grand scheme of history. A single worldwide fractional reserve banking system, the Internet and social media, population density on a scale never seen before, industrial-scale abortion and family erasure. I feel like the problems of previous "dark ages" were more direct, observable, confrontable. Societies have rotten from the inside out before but never so quickly.

I'm also frightened by the idea that, even if we started making all the right decisions today, it would take so many years and new generations for these corrections to actually manifest that if I did live to see them, I'd be a very old man.

We are also a fan of the numbering and i personally think its worth keeping for the smaller runs, non serialized coins should really be the ones we sell from the bigger runs for a store allocation. We also need to consider an effective 'reprint' policy going forward which is something ill be bringing up sunday

as far as the coins we have already made there wont be restrikes of those, though in the future reworks of them might get made and unserialized runs of the small run coins are something im thinking about. When you say "coin" you mean an actual coin and not a "round?" Rounds are shaped like coins but have no government backing. They're just round generic bars.

Bars usually have lower premiums because they're easier to produce so you can stack more ounces. Bigger the bar, the lower the premium you spend per ounce.

Sovereign minted coins have more trust backing them, so they could be easier to sell and have potential for numismatic collectivity.
