Most tickers move pretty much in line with every other index. Every chart kinda looks the same.. I play those etfs too but it's nice to play things that move independently than the general market trends
KOLD/DRIP/sp500 all move on their own narratives so it gives you more access to volatility/bottoms/highs that you can play instead of just gambling on a bunch of shit tickers that only move on fed rumors

Plus the volatility

Plus the general thesis that natural gas will mean revert in price at some point.. it's up soooo much this year

Yes, that is what I've been using in my paper trades. I typically do about 3-4 paper trades per day up and down the SPY and it has been working out pretty well, especially considering I'd think consistent +$60 and more to be pretty nice. The most immediate thing I see that would benefit me experimenting with KOLD (which I have had in my list for the last few weeks) is that its prices are down enough I could do actual share buying for swinging rather than entirely relying on options. Are you still options focused with KOLD or what?

Advertisers have fled, and our CEO has no way out of the situation. The CEO's rocket company is trying to get more money at a higher valuation this week, but may not find any takers. Demand for the cars produced by the celebrity CEO's company has peaked, and will likely begin to decline in the near future. Finally, the CEO borrowed a ton of money to buy the bird company against the stock he owns in the car company, and he may soon be forced to sell a massive amount of stock, due to margin calls. The debt (personal loan) will be paid off in 2026 and the rate is low on it so meh. My c.c balance will be under 300 starting in 2023 so meh on that as well. The big whammy things are the "shat happens" which are spread out over the whole coming year. Pluses are I'm getting another salary boost in July, my emergency fund (3.30% rate) contributions will be hiked 10%, and my 401k contributions will be hiked 12%. You can ride a huge decline to profit if the IV on CCs is high enough. I rode YY for a year through a 50% decline and the CC premiums have exceeded my original basis.
Kind of tax inefficient though, taking profit off option premiums while bagholding an unrealized loss. Eventually it's good to sell and wash. Put selling can be better.
