I have been drinking a lot of bone broth of various animals and all of my friends and family have been begging for more mason jars of the stuff, I want to be able to sell it as I process more and more bones. Does anyone have the know-how to scale? I basically have an unlimited supply of fresh free range deer bones and can make broth in large cauldrons.

here is how I went down the rabbit hole. I found a large smoker on the side of the road for free earlier this year and ive smoked pretty much every type of meat except for mullet and wild salmon. I also smoked seasonings like salt. I personally like drinking bone broth and it definitely helps when you are sick. my cousin and I have been taking deer and using the scrap meat to feed our dogs and using the bones for broth. I looked it up online and venison broth for dogs and for humans is crazy expensive.

They already do this. Powdered bone broth extract in cans.
Save your money and put it in crypto, it will outperform any wannabe business

I actually just googled bone broth and came a cross some paleo and keto stuff. I skimmed through and found out it’s used in soups, but I also see there’s some bone broths that are fuckin $170 for 35 servings??? I’ve had soup at home by I seriously doubt ever in my life have I tried a soup that uses broth that is that expensive? My mom usually bought the boxed liquid ones and I have heard people drink bone broth and I always thought it was disgusting but maybe they’re drinking that expensive powdered type of bone broth? What bone broth would you recommend and how do I consoom it

Buy a rotisserie chicken
Take off the meat
Throw the bones and 24-32 ounces of water into a pressure cooker for 2 hours
You’ll have fresh bone broth and the bones you take out will be soft enough to squish between your fingers
I give the bones and skin to my dog in his food

When I was sick 3 years back with leaky gut I did bone broth for about a week to try and heal my stomach. Didn’t work. Then I came across urine therapy and started drinking my piss. Healed my stomach in like 72 hours. For the previous year had I eaten any sugar or carbs I couldn’t walk straight afterwards. After drinking my pee for 72 hours I was inhaling a large pizza by the end of the week. Totally healed.

You could definitely scale, i'm doing beef stew right now with store bought beef broth, I paid 5 euros for 0.75L. You could go for "organic", farmers market vibes and sell it for hipsters.

true and pure bone broth or stock is frighteningly expensive, however the quality of it is on a whole different level from supermarket industrial stuff.

the difficulty in scaling food is keeping the quality consistent. it seems the bones you get are frozen, do you do any processing of the bones or browning? any extra aromatics like herbs or vegetables? what about storing the broth after it is cooked? how long can it last before spoilage?

after that comes the p/l side. whats the margin on your packaged broth? will enough people actually pay the premium for a good product that justifies the many many hours spent cooking?

Bone broth is just bones boiled for hours in water. The water is kind of dense, but the taste is ok.

buy an industrial pressure cooker and boil it like the Japanese does for their tonkotsu ramen, which is made from bone broth which was boiled for 72 hours.

Well done mate I own a winery in Australia and always have scalability issues, it’s all about creating a product and selling. At first you focus on production but it’s literally only 10% of the business. Scale up buy your equipment ra ra raa but you need to find a supermarket or spruce your shit at market fairs ect. Best of luck and what a refreshing thing to see on biz.

OP You just fucking do it. If you need space you think about the cheapest way to get it, whether that means leasing, buying, asking your grandma to put up a shed on her property whatever it is.
IF you need to get through red tape you fucking google it and get on internet forums.
What you don't fucking do is ask /biz/.

Ya it has the taste of a strong exotic spice or Sometimes plastic like or metal like taste if it’s bad quality. Basically I’d see all these +’s and T’s over my vision like a veil. It looks like when you close your eyes after a bright light flash and see the negative. Pretty trippy and you feel like you’re dying but I’d prefer k or l any day.
