Goldman says Gold Beats Bitcoin

(Reuters) - Goldman Sachs ( GS ) expects gold, with its real demand drivers, to outperform the highly volatile bitcoin in the long term, the bank wrote in a Monday research note.
Gold is less likely to be influenced by tighter financial conditions, meaning it is "a useful portfolio diversifier," said Goldman, especially given that gold has developed non-speculative use cases while bitcoin is still looking for one.
Goldman's analysis showed that while traders use gold to hedge against inflation and dollar debasement, bitcoin resembles a "risk-on high-growth tech company stock."
The value proposition of bitcoin, which the bank called "a solution looking for a problem," comes from the scope of its future real use cases, making it a more volatile and speculative asset than the precious metal.
Although investors' willingness to explore the decentralized currency aided bitcoin adoption, the bank forecast financial conditions will become tighter.
"Bitcoin's volatility to the downside was also enhanced by systemic concerns as several large players filed for bankruptcy," it noted, citing the collapse of the FTX exchange and the 3AC hedge fund.
While net speculative positions in both the assets fell sharply over the last year, gold is marginally up year-on-year against bitcoin's plunge by 75%, the bank noted.
"Tighter liquidity should be a smaller drag on gold, which is more exposed to real demand drivers" like Asian consumer buying, central bank monetary demand, safe-haven investments, and industrial applications, it said.
"Moreover, gold may benefit from structurally higher macro volatility and a need to diversify equity exposure."

Le me know if you can read my notes. This one is coming up against the 200 day ma which will act as strong resistance however it is supported right below by the converging 50 and 100 day averages. I would watch this one over the next days/ couple weeks. If it breaks over the 200 I would say that is a strong buy. If it breaks to the downside I would wait for a bottom before going back in. The company has been consistently performing on earnings so there's that. It's just a shitty fake and gay market. I'll look at the weekly next. The immediate movement of this stock is down, however its almost butting up against the 18 day moving average so it could simply just be resetting before the next move up which would be a really strong set up to go up and break the 200 day moving average.

Okay so this chart is a trip lol. I'm assuming there's no fuckery going on here and I'm taking it at face value. The company has a 20 million share float so there hasnt been any giant dilutions or anything at least it would appear.

This chart is FAR FAR below the 200 day moving average and that usually results in a VIOLENT upswing (like whats happening or going to happen with miners). So on the weekly chart this is an incredible value (from a contrarian and charting standpoint), while on the daily it looks like its just going to be fuckery and consolidation for the short term. I would watch this one and see if it breaks over the 200 DAY average. On the daily chart there's not much downside if it does break lower, you're only talking like 12% if it goes down to the bollinger band and then theres the blue support trendline below that if it falls further. However if the weekly chart is to be taken at face value the upside is huge. Anybody know what the fuck happened with this company?

Sand producers we're popping up like dandelions 7 years ago. The entire industry went thru waves of consolidation as the weakest ones were shook out, bought up, stripped and sold, etc
This is why I like this industry just now. The consolidation period is over and the strongest, bestest, closest to the oil fields will make the cut for the long haul. As the commisar mentioned it's not an inelastic good, but if the replacement isn't significantly cheaper, better, closer to the oil fields then it's simply not gonna be used as a replacement.
Highest quality white frac sand is like $55 burgers a ton, but the costs are about half that to get it there to the site, roughly.
Mega big upside potential across the entire field. Us Silica and source energy are the best located, with the best sand, and the best infrastructure for their logistics demand. For a small cap, this is rare chance for an overlooked market

>MMTLP is a preferred share for an oil company with an oil field containing 3.2 billion barrels of oil (plus natural gas). They were being shorted to death back when oil was shit in 2020 and they merged with a tech company named MetaMaterials (MMAT) who wanted a NASDAQ ticker without an IPO. As part of the deal the oil company people kept all rights to the oil so they gave up some of their ownership in the new company and had the rights turned into a preferred share. They've been going through filings to take it private (Nextbridge Hydrocarbons). Well, you can't short a private company so ALL the shorts are going to have to be closed, and none of them were closed since they were being shorted to fuck.

>Basically, this company had been fighting its shorts for a while, and they decided to end it by spinning off the shares in their shorted ticker (MMTLP) into a brand-new company.
This was supposed to happen on the 12th and all short positions were required to close by then. But then the regulating bodies, after approving the new ticker, showed their true hand a few days before the trading deadline, halting all trading of MMTLP until it is delisted the day after the 12th.
Now the future is uncertain but not set, people aren't sure yet where it being delisted means the shorts get off scot-free, or if they still have to close, that the halt might be lifted, etc.
The one thing MMTLP has got going for it right now is a C-Suite that was open about fighting shorts. Worst case scenario, lawsuits are started, dragging this thing out for years potentially, but it is being defended and fought for.
Anyways I'd wait until next week to see the fate of mylittlepony ticker, you can't even buy it anymore, so I see no harm in discussing it either.

>The jist is that MMTLP was a preferred share dividend spinoff from the TRCH merger, which was fraudulently brought onto the OTC to trade. MMAT, the parent company, told FINRA to stop trading, but FINRA did not take it down. John Brda, the CEO of TRCH has pretty much gone on record that Ari Rubenstein is likely to blame for a good portion of the hedgefund fuckery behind it; but when there is one Hedgefund, there is Shitadel somewhere. How many shorts? Who knows, but it is enough to make FINRA shit its pants in panic.
>Finra broke its own rules and regulations to bail out a hedgie that has FINRA status or has been on FINRA commitee meetings. Further more, they broke federal law by pursuing action which would cause synthetics to carry over to a private company. Metamaterial's legal team has done a good job to make the privatization so air-tight legally, FINRA had to flip over the chess board, so they better be ready to strike FINRA down with an indictment to set the board back.

On a larger scale view, I think it’s great since now our (the west) power grids aren’t directly reliant on chinks building everything and getting their hands on proprietary technology, as is usually the case.

Similarly, Canada’s (perhaps the worlds?) largest nuclear plant in Kincardine, Bruce Power, is undergoing a series of refurbishments currently. Instead of incurring shipping delays and raw material issues abroad, they simply build everything at the (relatively) nearby Babcock & Wilcox (BWXT) facility in Cambridge. I believe BWXT coincidentally also supplies Rolls Royce with parts. I’ve been trying to get a job there lol

You wouldn't be the first person to have taken a liking Gary Savage's nuggets, from what I hear Gary Savage has many satisfied clients already.
Since you asked, if I remember correctly it is $75/month for access to Gary Savage's premium subscription. If Gary Savage is really as good as they say then subscribing for the price of 1 (one) hour of the life of 10 (ten) American minimum-wage-slaves seems like quite a good deal. If you don't think that having priority access to Gary Savage's insights - a veteran investor and market analyst of over 20 years - is worth more than 10 Walmart wagies then there's something seriously wrong with you and you are never GMI!

I do not think that Gary Savage would appreciate having his premium content disseminated unrightfully on the internet, however. If the fruit's of your labour were taken freely, how would you feel? Please consider Gary Savage's position and be appreciative of the effort he puts in on our behalf, and try to see to it that Gary Savage is also compensated fairly.
Thank you.

it's a tradeoff.

if we can buy those minerals from other countries we deplete their supplies in exchange for worthless paper.

but when we don't mine we also lose the talent of miners and professionals that do the mining.

this is where canada fucking wins.
they deplete the resources of other countries while saving their own. And they also keep all the experts and professionals.
US will get by, but it's best if we don't forget how to mine. We used to be good at it.

Oil field services in general.
For frac sand and the like it's fiercely competitive for logistics and storage. Since 2016+ the entire oil field services industry has experienced remarkable consolidation in a plethora of areas. None as acute as white frac sand.

Nigger I know you don't want to stop but I've said it before, sluts erode the soul. They're worse than drugs because they'll actually leave you with nothing, inside and out, if you waste too much time on then.
You're a member of a pair-bonding species. Tinder culture is Jewish propaganda to distract high-test men from reproducing (being there to raise the child is paramount to development so no, knocking up a bunch of whores doesn't count) and to fool you into thinking there's always one better just around the corner. There's always a hotter one until suddenly there's not, then you're comprimising.
I live in one of, if not the most, sexually degenerate and decadent parts of England and I've never known a single person to be happy who hasn't broken free of the promiscuous conditioning that surrounds us. Except maybe for rare few who are open about it but they usually end up being literal swingers which is even worse. Tangent but I know a dude who's wife caught HPV, but he hasn't. They're both cool with it. Disgusting.

If your sex life is shit then fucking be a man and confront her about it instead of chasing distractions and maybe things will change before you burn it away. Or leave and focus on someone who can actually satisfy you. If at your age you're not knocking this one up or at least planning to then what are you doing?
Give your head a shake and think big-picture like you do with charts, decide what you ultimately want and take it. Stop swingtrading sluts and start investing or you'll miss the big moves sitting on the sidelines. What would Gary say?

Checked but repsectfully disagree, Bob. Family is all that really matters. Specifically children as you know. But you need a wife to do that properly and you don't get that by spending your "youth" chasing whores. Emphasis on "spending" because time is an invaluable currency.

Sure have fun in your teens and twenties but if you're not focused on family by your thirties then what the fuck are you doing? Yeah you can still knock someone up in your 40s, probably some near-menopausal/geriatric burnt-out whore, and roll the dice on your child's autism chances, but then you're nearing 60 when your child is a teenager. That's not fun for any kid to have a pensioner as a parent. I could handle it personally because I'm a fucking adonis but not everyone is as obsessed about health as I am so most are crippled by that age and can't even throw a ball around.

Have your fun but unironically think of the children. That's why Whites are dwindling, because we fall for this bullshit.

Yes, you too can own GO's bags, just back up your trucky at GO's state of the art processing plant - the bags are just waiting for someone to buy them. This stock will surely moooooon as bayhorse is profitable at $10 silver. Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the land,
Bayhorse Silver was mining, with a shovel in hand.
The CEO, GO, with his 5 gallon hat,
Was exploring for silver, and that was a fact.

The company was limping, towards the finish line,
Timelines were a challenge, they couldn't quite define.
Private placements were their game,
But when would they ship, that was the question, just the same.

Their loyal shareholders, were feeling quite blue,
Underwater with investments, what were they to do?
But the ore sorter, Steinert, it was a marvel to see,
Producing fantastic concentrate, for all to agree.

But when would it ship, that was the question at hand,
Bayhorse Silver was working, to make it all grand.
So here's to the CEO, with his 5 gallon hat,
Mining in Oregon, and to that, let's chat.

May the silver they find, be abundant and true,
And the shareholders, finally see their investments through.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night,
From Bayhorse Silver, and their never-ending fight.

Just saw an article about how TerraPower, some nuclear company backed by Gates, is having issues securing higher grade HALEU nuclear fuel (from Russia). Sadly, it looks like it is a private company and isn't tradeable. What are some other picks that specialize in that type of fuel?

If silver hits $200/oz it can swing up and down by $75 a day for all we care since most here have never paid over $30/oz for it anyways. Let the games begin.

The motto of the Biden administration is "Death to America". Everything they do is overtly and comically designed to help everyone else the most while also hurting America the most.
