they plan to expand the pool to maximum 75M, but that's only with usage ramping up.
>but why will it never open?
if you didn't stake, you basically missed out on the only opportunity to get any revenue share on chainlink as a node operator. why? because it has been said multiple times that the chainlink token is a utility token, so if there is no utility given to community members, then the chainlink token would be considered a security, that's why sergey put in place the alerting mechanism for stakers, because if the staked token would only have revenue share without the token having another utility, then LINK would just be a security.
sergey is very cautious when it comes to legal implications. So, do you get it now? us being alerters is really all what we will ever get, we won't have any other utility to the network.
next time sergey adds to the staking, it won't be given to the community, but to node operators and enterprise and institutions.

you only had 1 chance at atleast getting your wallet whitelisted with 1 link, but you didn't and now it's too late.

I think they'll open up more allocation for gen access. Your premie is that they would literally stop people from staking a finite amount of tokens..? Why? Can you explain why they wouldn't want to let as many people stake as possible?

Anyway, nice reverse fud need more of it.

he's trying to change sentiment and force fuddies to adjust their narrative.

the truth is, early stakers will be rewarded handsomely, and it will drive fomo for the next pool allocations. we will definitely see pool allocations open for more general access, because the more link staked = more collateral = securing higher value contracts = more rewards / apy = higher token price = higher collateral valuations... Get the point?

It is a virtuous cycle, as described by Sergey.

notice how freelinkers aren't spamming the board with posts about how they (smartly) didn't stake while The Cucked need to constantly get validation that they made the right decision to lock up their link indefinitely. that slight feeling of anxiety in the back of your brain is your instinct telling you that you fucked up. that feeling will fester for the next year while you watch the number on your screen go up and yet you will be unable to realize any of those gains.

Yeah you will always be able to stake with node-ops as CLL have made it clear they expect a large proportion of the supply to be staked. I guess OP means this might be the last chance to stake in a CLL run pool?

My though is the initial pool will expand for the eth/usd feed to 75million for the community and that will be the official community pool ran by chainlink , once v.1 comes out staking will apply to all feeds but it wont be from the official chainlink team but rather it will be from third parties doing node delegation .
