How fitting, i just won an auction on ebay. Look at this baby :
73x 24K gold plated .925 silver stamps from the 1979's limited edition to celebrate the international postmasters' congress, issued by the Franklin Mint for the International Society of Postmasters. Back when the funkopops of the days for the silent generation were stamps.
Only 1000 examplars were minted.

I did some diggin', and back in 1979, this set was sold with a $2500 pricetag! I used the US inflation calculator, and it would be north of $10K USD nowaday. I thought "kinda a scam back then, considering spot was so low..." but then i remembered the Hunt brothers' silver squeeze happened in 1979 lol! Still a scam desu, but it can explain a little better the pricetag i guess.

So let say conservatively that there are for 730gr of .925 silber, that's 22oz of .999.
So exactly 10€/oz. Ngl among my best deal ever, i'm super happy.

Lmao never invest in gold stocks, just buy pure gold bars or coins - depends on your local tax law etc.
>How can you trust on it, when every goverment Is against it

If they are so against it then why do you hear stuff like China buying 100s of tons of gold, russia doing the same etc.
also look at the charts from the last 50 years, its a kind of a safe haven for cash. obviously you can get a better deal on index funds or whatever, but yea gold is one of the many safe bets you can have.
obviously dont buy high sell low - its a game of patience. gold is a at least 5+year investment, so according to recent charts try to buy at the down swing and then just wait.
also to hype your imagination, just check how much % profit you would have if you bought last year around septmeber and lets say sold this year around Feb, or just kept it and see if you are still in the green.

It's going to average $1800 as it has been until BRICS crashes the USD. But when this happens, you'll probably have other things on your mind besides the price of gold... unless you have a lot of it.

Dude seems legit as far as i can tell, 1.6K sales, 100% positive feedback. But you never know.. so yeah i don't want to scream victory before i can check it by myself. I'll probably slightly damage one of the stamps to check with my nitric acid + touchstone if it's the real deal.
But that's what i really like with ebay, as long as you pay with CC/paypal, you can always get a refund if it's not what you hoped for. And shipping fees are charged on the seller. Never had any issue getting refunds for scammy/wrong description stuff i received (and it happened far more than once).

About the seller being a retard, i believe his title was kinda shitty and it must have fucked up with the algos, because i literally was the only one with a bet on this (and he picked a terrible timing to end the auction too).
I was looking for 3rd Reich stamps when i stumbled across this, not silver, so...

Also.. feel bad for the stamp boomies. Search for stamps on ebay, you see huge collections who were worth 10's of Ks in the 70-80s and took years to build, being sold for 2-3 bux.
This is the fate of most collectibles once the nostalgic generation who liked it is dead.
Will be the same for pokemon and MTG once we millenials end up in the tomb. Our grand kids will dump it all directly in the bin. Even the black lotuses currently worth half a million.

That's what's great with PMs, the value stick, no matter the generation.

What kind of logic is this? Don't do claims like this fren, when you never know what tomorrow will be made of. Maybe next year the G:S will go crazy like during march 2020, and that's when you go all-in silver. Or maybe it will be the other way around.
Let yourself open to any opportunity. By narrowing your options you also narrow the potential for great deals.

About the last tube, i guess it depends on where you live. Personally i'd say go for Armenians' Noah's Ark if you don't have any. They often have a low premioom from LCSs, are gorgeous, and tend to fetch a good premium on ebay as ppl love the design. Also they probably are less minted than the other gubment coins, so it's kinda rarer.

I've thought about mining eBay for Franklin Mint sterling scrap because some sellers do indeed list it poorly but I've never actually gotten my hands on any. I did a quick look around and found a couple references to the set with a weight given, one 20.55 ozt and another 639.5g so yours will be right around there.

Looks like a solid cheapie, you're getting the hang of it bro keep it up! The more you learn the more your DCA will keep dropping and someday you'll look back and be embarrassed that ~10/oz was once your cheapest deal. No idea about the gold content but apparently vermeil is supposed to be at least 2.5 microns thick, so if you can estimate surface area you can then calculate number of cubic micrometers then convert that into whatever tiny bit of a cubic centimeter it is and multiply by 19.32g. Let us know the answer if you're autistic enough to figure it out.

Argento apu up next
And I'm thinking over options for next year, a subscription box that gets sent out every 2 months that has a different copper design each time plus other goodies. Maybe two tiers so you can get just the coin or go for extras (pins, shirts, mousepad, etc). I feel that there's so many different designs that can be done, if we do them all in silver people will miss out because of the cost

Honest question, is it worth it to stack some copper too? I just realized that the price for it increased even more than silver or gold in the last years. I am still stacking mostly silver ofc.

>> No.52848964

>>52848879
The source of silver's mysteriously low price is the manipulation of the precious metals market (which has been proven in court multiple times, for those unaware). When the debt market hyperbubble collapses, we will see money move into commodities, and that includes copper, but my bet is that silver will see better gains percentage-wise.

>> No.52848966

>>52848879
If you have the space for some useful, reasonably priced copper (I.e. a few hundred kg of copper tubes, sheets and other plumbing and so on material), sure why not. Probably could do worse things with your money.
But copper bars or even rounds? Lol. Good luck recovering those premiums, ever. But I gotta admit, I’m tempted by a kg bar, purely as a decorative object, that I wholly bought as a folly.

>> No.52848997

>>52848879
>is it worth it to stack some copper too?

Every commodity is underpriced, we probably should all be buying it as its cheap as piss and will only go up, only problem would be if the average precious metals dealer will be interested in it or will they have their hands too busy with Gold/Silver.

>This is your brain on retail. Take the scrap-pill anons. Sub 10% spot cheapies are out there.

Yep, kinda sad how some anons refuse to believe cheapies are real or that one can find them regularly: pearls before swine etc. Is your screengrab some Mexican sterling? I don't recognize the website so unless shipping costs were added on top of the $2 it looks like a sub-1% of spot turbocheapie provided it's all hallmarked right, congrats man I've only gotten a handful of pieces at under 1/100th of melt.

I found this on my snowy doorstep this morning, a very chunky Poole Sterling tea or coffee pot. Bought on eBay for $185.50 total with tax several days ago and assumed a weight of 28.4ozt of sterling and melt value at time of purchase of $611. Turns out it's actually a few ounces heavier at 949g total, let's say 945g of sterling (28.1 ozt fine silver) after subtracting the bone handle insulators, so that plus a higher spot price today gives us a current melt value of $682, bought for $6.60/ozt asw or about 27% of melt. A good deal but far from the best for us enlightened scrapchads. If I was stacking ASEs 28.1ozt would cost me $1,124, but don't worry bro premiums will be 200% in just 2 more weeks lmao. Now that I have it I can share the eBay link:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/144846128172
Everything was pretty straightforward but the actual weight, and that can be determined with reasonable accuracy for anything being sold if a pic of the markings is present, in this case by searching the web for "poole sterling georgian 1027" (1027 being the model number) and looking for other listings for the same item with the weight provided. Happy hunting anons, freedom from premiums and anxiety about spot price movement is very comfy and isn't hard to achieve.

I think that particular auction was hibid. Spent a couple gallons of gas driving out to the pickup spot, but I rightfully write that off as a business expense. There was no makers mark on either item. The leaf polished up nicely and is a white poplar leaf. The flower has the exact same sterling stamp, but looks like somebodies backyard project piece. It's in my 'scrap' bin unless someone convinces me otherwise. Love the eBay scrap stories. I see that listing was labeled 'silverplate'. Very nice find. The precious metals market is manipulated to prop up the dollar.
This is done by selling IOUs for gold and silver that doesn't exist.
The supply in the COMEX and LBMA are contracting at their fastest pace in history.
They will soon run out of real metals.
Anyone trying to redeem an IOU after that will be screwed.
The value of ETFs will plummet.
Third party "vault storage" may also default, though it depends on the company and how jewish they are.
If you don't think any of this is possible, look to history.
When gold was confiscated in America, the only ones who complies were banks. Anyone who held gold in a deposit box got robbed. People who kept their gold at home were unaffected.
Gold and silver are MONEY and there's nothing the banks and the government like more than finding ways to steal your MONEY.
If you can't convince someone in the merit of having custody of their own MONEY, then they may simply be beyond help, as too many people are.

I personally won't be subscribing for a bunch of copper and a loot box. And I also wonder if the market you are after can even afford or want a subscription in the first place. But if you plan on making a subscription model for your silver meme coins, that I would consider. (since I plan on buying the next foreseeable batches anyways)

Scrap pill is a hard one to swallow for people with tiny closed minds.
Especially for coin collector types here that care whats on their bullion.
Once you swallow it you can stackmax x10000%. I still buy real bullion occasionally but a get 10x or 20x the value with scrap sterling and gold.

Imagine trying to sell digital IOUs/1s and 0s, aka stocks, crypto. If you can't hold it you dont own it. You want proof look at when they halted trading on GME when the normal people started to make some money at the cost of the big guys, or look at FTX or binance scandals the past couple months. Then you have everybody's favorite fiat which the government and central banks use inflation to rape any wealth you might try to accumulate year after year.

Buttcoins aren't IOUs. They're not debt.
>If you can't hold it you dont own it
The crypto equivalent to that is "not your keys, not your coins". If you keep your buttcoins on an exchange it's like keeping your metal in a bank where it will be confiscated. After putting them into your wallet no one can take them from you other than stealing them but same goes for gold and silver.

On the other hand it's much easier to cross borders without getting robbed of all your wealth if all you need is to remember a couple of words to reconstruct your wallet. Except for the dependency on electricity all of that stuff you mentioned can be mitigated by applying proper INFOSEC like backups (even printed out on paper) or multisig wallets. It comes with a different set of trade-offs. But I would agree if you said crypto is strictly worse when infrastructure is lacking or unreliable. For in-person trading a physical coin or bar might also be more convenient.

Silver seems cheapest right before the end of the month. I guess they jack up prices the day people get paid or something. Nowadays I just place my order 1-2 days before that and then pay when I get my money. I usually save 1-2€/oz this way. As you can see I speak as a eurofag, so no idea if this holds true elsewhere.
