I worked with consultants from Deloitte when I worked for a big insurance carrier. The chick was definitely not a roastie and did most of the work. However, she was some Eastern European femcel, so that’s obviously not the standard.

My wife works as a senior consultant for Deloitte. She makes $140k and is 90% WFH. She also got like $25k in signing bonuses. Benefits are very good here. When you are traveling on business you get to Swipe the Amex with basically no limit. I think her daily meal limit is like $100 but nobody actually checks. Real management consulting is much more boring. Lots of making decks and working on project spreadsheets that manage projects that 90% consist of making decks. Not saying it's a bad job. Also the org structure is designed as an abusive command and control system that feeds up to partners at the top. Apparently partners get some kind of god complex and are untouchables with little to no oversight into their activity. New Partner TC is like 500-600k but it can be higher if they can close higher deals. Consulting firms give partners higher bonuses for closing deals with more profit margin. Think about the implications of that -- engagements are frequently under-resourced and often fail due to this flawed incentive structure. Partners love to dress like and pretend to be big shots, and behave like they are the reincarnation of Christ. You pretty much need to be a psychopath to succeed in Big 4.

I went to tech College for a manufacturing and automation degree and a 9/10 hot girl from my highschool took the same degree and now makes like 90k annually at age 23. I was extended a job offer.

But they couldn't get in touch with any of my previous employers. So, the spic director of HR lady "accordingly withdrew" the offer.

It is not my fault that my previous employers would not answer the phone. I proposed sending tax forms proving I worked at my previous employers. They said those could possibly be faked and were not acceptable.

This is AFTER passing 5 rounds: phone screen, coding challenge, hiring manager interview, technical Q&A panel with team, culture interview, CEO interview. I passed all these, was given an offer, but it was WITHDRAWN BECAUSE OF FUCKING HR'S INABILITY TO CONTACT MY PREVIOUS EMPLOYERS.
