Proof of Stake is inherently less desirable than Proof of Work because it removes the real life logistics of obtaining a large % of the network (hash power requires physical miners, electricity, cooling etc). Proof of Stake practically rewards the already rich by giving them a bigger piece of the pie. The reason ETH went PoS is that the current globohomo climate fearmongering agenda would never allow a progressive crypto platform to get away with "destroying the climate". Bitcoin is partly shielded from this critique because it doesn't have figureheads to attack.

None of this has anything to do with Chainlink though. Chainlink staking does not secure a blockchain but functions as collateral for nodes taking jobs on the Chainlink network. Nodes get paid and stakers get a reward.

Is there a reason why the address that shows up on my ledger is different from the contract address?
I rejected the staking transaction because of this

>how does staking improve the blockchain?

It doesn't. Chainlink has literally been working perfectly fine without their shit attempt at 'staking'.

>> No.52779967

>>52779940
yea but now they're taking the guard rails off and in order to do that you need collateral and reputation. before it was just subsidized by sponsors and chainlink themselves.

Token is needed to fund the operation, how else can lpl build a staking system? Obviously by scamming their investors

You guys use a lot of cool words but at the end of the day you're just retards who are purchasing fake currency with real currency. At any given time there are over 100 threads about crypto. None of you generate value to society. You just sit around buying poker chips and waiting for some jew to make the numbers on your screen magically appear larger. You have no grasp on the fundamentals. You have no understanding of real value. You provide no value to others. You have fallen victim to digital, unregulated slot machines, and you sit there like monkeys getting scammed over and over again.

Stop wasting your time and money on crypto. Build a business. Invest in good businesses. Earn money. Save money. Purchase real assets.
