You locked up ~$50k for a whole year to make $6 a day—barely $2k a year—and the best part is that's at current token prices. It doesn't even factor in the dumping to come. LINK staking is literally an IQ test, and all stakers failed.

we just had some guy try to talk people out of staking for like 10 hours straight in a thread yesterday. I am pretty retarded and could not tell if he was genuinely concerned for others or some fat smelly russian scammer.
Basically, I have no idea what to do. Any actual humans/non-bots can tell me something besides calling me retarded?

you have enough that you could stake the full amount and still have 3k left to sell if you wanted. the pool will be unlocked in about a year when the next few features are released so if you don't plan on doing anything with them in the meantime you can help secure the nextwork and earn linkies / build project tokens

Basically Linkpool rugged on the 5th. The Owner/Founder/whatever Jonny Huxtable works for Chainlink Labs since 2018. This should already give you a bad feeling.
Add to that: The staking contract can only be unlocked by the team. No trustlessness One excuse so far I got is: you can't develop trustlessly.
I will stake a little amount just in case I might profit but I'm certainly not staking all I can after this disaster.

1. you should wait and see if this shit works properly
2. wait and see if the network actually gets used (because staking rewards come from use and not airdrop for hodl like defi ponzi)
3. get ready to sell it asap before it crashes to zero because it is useless for just about everything due to ethereums expensive fees and will prevent it from ever having any mainstream adoption

I didn’t say anything about 81k. All I know is that 10M+ Chainlink tokens(and increasing to 25M in the coming days) have just been removed from the general ecosystem to secure just one DON. Now what if other price feeds need to be secured by staking? How much link will they need? One could say that the BTC/USD price feed is just as important as ETH/USD so it follows that there will likely be another 25M and up to 75M link tokens will be staked. Meaning that up to 10%+ of the total supply will be securing 2 price feeds. What about matic/usd or bnb/usd or aave/usd? Doesn’t it make sense those DONs need to be secured? Not as much as BTC or ETH, but still require security. What about the other services that Chainlink provides/will provide like CCIP? It gets my dick hard just thinking about it.

>> No.52783877

>>52783405
I'm wondering why they need this much LINK for the alpha test(!) of staking serving only one price feed. It's not like anything is really on the line, is it? So why not do 1 million LINK? They can only add a couple more price feeds (each 25 million if you want to take this one as reference), until there's no LINK available.

Midwit take?
