My uncle works in cybersec for like 20 years now, he said they accept people from different disciplines because their different way of thinking adds something to the team. You can start from the bottom anon, it's not too late I swear. Look up cybersec traineeships in your country, preferably one that presents you to a company after you're done with the traineeship. Or learn cybersec in your own time for 3-6 months to grasp just the bare basics enough to get a junior position. There's a heavy shortage you can do this. Good luck.

t. I switched career from carpet cleaner to software dev at age 28 while not knowing much about anything. You get to ask seniors your questions and that way of learning is far better than anything

I started working in software in high school and I promise you if you can get a junior position and just show up, be nice to the oldest guy in the office and ask him questions he will tell you anything you want to know for free. Basically everything I know about operating systems was gleaned from walking into the old guys office and asking him a few questions I had from the previous day, he never denied me answers and would even show examples with the live code he was working on
