If you wanted to buy lets say 1 to 5 acres of pure wilderness land, which country would be ideal?

The first thing that comes to mind is Canada but I've been told that the land there is actually kind of overpriced
Sweden also seems to be an option
Can you even buy 1-5 acres or do you have to buy more?
anybody got experience in this field who could share? im just getting into it

My family owns a farm with, lol, "pure wilderness land", 180 acres. You sound like a dumbfuck.

You can easily buy cheap property but actually driving to it and enjoying it will be the problem. (no roads and being landlocked) no one wants your stupid ass hiking through THEIR property

if you're looking to have an established life on this land, expect it to not be cheap by any means to have amenities at all close to what you're used to in the city. be prepared to spend a lot of time on maintaining it and maintaining your home. if you spend time away from this land and you put a structure on it and you aren't there all the time you can best believe that it will be ransacked many times, maybe even burned to the ground, squatted, etc. living remotely is a major chore and unless you're ready to build out of pocket i wouldn't consider it unless you make obscene amounts of money. if you're planning long term and want to accumulate the land for a later purpose buy land from the government in a surrounding area that is rapidly expanding if you don't want to be ass blasted and live hours away from a single grocery store forever. i won't suggest to you any locations as i already live this lifestyle and you can stay away, thanks.

How are you going to make a living off 5 acres of bush? There is a reason people chop that shit down and plant stuff instead anon. It's called "I would prefer to not starve to death in the bitter cold".

OP, don't listen to the contamination loving cucks. Your heart is in the right place. In fact many sustainable agriculture systems recommend leaving parts of your land to nature. It used to be common wisdom in all the civilizations that were sustainable, that you should keep about 70% forest. That's part of why they considered those forests "sacred". Because you literally need them if you want to sustain yourself indefinitely.

Eastern Oregon and Idaho.
Find something that touches BLM land. This will mean a likely fire road on one side. Alternatively look for a power line to run by or through your land.
Water on your land
A.usally belongs to someone further down stream.
B. Raise your cost dramatically
C. Very seasonal

Be very rich or learn to run a chain saw, plow/bobcat.
Shipping containers can NOT be buried under more than inches of soil, they are not built for that. The leak they rust they are good for like 2 years and their price hase sky rocketed.
Meet your neighbors, do not chase their son on a dirt bike off your trails...fees him a beer now and again and you have a free dirt bike riding warning system.

I own 8.5 acres of sagebrush and rocks in the west. Looking to upgrade my land to trees someday myself

What do you live in? I see trailers for sale on marketplace for really cheap but they look like shit, I'd rather have a cabin but they're much more expensive.

Just little /pol/chud losers who have watched to many varg larp videos. The funniest thing is he doesn't live off the land, he gets money from his books, music and welfare which he spends on 1 day old bread (cheaper lol) from lidl to feed his family, truly a great and wonderful life.

as someone buying up land in michigan its surprisingly not overpriced to badly.. especially when you get out in the more woodsy cabin hamlet areas. the prices might be cheaper elsewhere but roughly in most cabin hamlet towns an acre hits around 2-4k depending on the person that owns it and area around it. ive snagged a few stray acres up for 2-2.5 k just cuz the owner wanted to get rid of it and it ended up being pretty aight land. Have not done any buying in the UP mostly just the west and north west of the mitten

Listen to this man.

Also, you will need a water well. No ifs ands or buts. A water well can cost 10s of thousands of dollars, so think about that when shopping for land. Trucking in your own potable water is a pain in the ass along with stuff like chopping firewood or shoveling/plowing snow. Don’t expect cops, paramedics or fire departments to show up for hours at a time in some cases if you get hurt or if someone evil comes your way.

I’d highly recommend buying land near a major highway because that guarantees access to electricity and internet. Don’t expect to go off-grid easily. I’ve known a few guys that tried and knew what they were doing and they said it isn’t worth the hassle due to equipment failure.

So here’s a super simple checklist:
1. Road access
2. Reliable electrical source
3. Existing water well/area with potable ground water and the potential for a decent, reliable water well (you can drain a water well in some areas)
4. Close to grocery store
5. Good neighbors. Don’t move in next to shit heads and don’t buy property sight unseen.

Everyone thinks they want perfect solitude and then when you get it you realize humans are social creatures.

I like people who really want to live in a fucking swamp, most of them I met are just fed up with society and prefer the solitude of the woods.
of course, I admire them because that's my goal too, a little more time with dext and no more tiktoks or yt shit, just freedom.

Small country so you're never far from civilization. Far enough away from geopolitical issues
No predators to deal with, and strict biosecurity so you don't deal with diseased crops.
Temperate climate in most parts of the country. Lots of water reserves.

Certain areas have crime in the region's, but not compared to many other countries.

The UP is an interesting area I’ve been looking at. Native Wisconsin here. My uncle bought up over a thousand acres a few decades back put it into a land trust. I think that helps with taxes. However it can’t be built on anymore I’m pretty sure
