But the MongoDB data platform provides enough support for analytics that a data warehouse or a data lake is not required. Also MongoDB Atlas has Data Lakes. MongoDB can create visualizations for data stored in MongoDB Atlas and Atlas Data Lake.

You can use mongo to store data in data lakes/warehouses, basically. And all those cluster tools are available under atlas. I really, really like Mongo's analytics nodes

Not for queries. For processing small amount of data. We used big data tools of everything, so he wanted to use overengineered infrastructure for stuff that could be processed on a laptop in few hours with a Python script. Not to mention this job was not really suitable for big data infrastructure. Instead of finishing the work in few days, we spent weeks and then had to deal with all of the bugs present in Azure tools.
The best part is, in the end, in order to deal with Azure bugs, we started writing scripts that fixed them / executed workarounds when Azure got stuck. Azure support was not able to help us at all, because they had mess there themselves. Fun times.
Overall, I'm not the kind of guy that wants to turn everything upside down and call everything stupid. I think I simply experienced the complete opposite in corporation, which turned out to be just as frustrating.

I think Gear energy is dead money at this point. Once they went all in on divvies, it stopped looking like a compelling net-cash producer with potential to rapidly buyback their entire company. Now it's just a boring 10% divvy with no upside. In a world where short term treasuries are nearing 5%, it feels less motivating to continue holding GXE given the downside risks.

I'd wait for a bigger dip these next 2 weeks, then maybe look towards BNE.TO, or some of the cheaper producers focused outside Canada/US.
