Alright anons banks will be going down in the short term. Considering the FED isn't hiking as aggressive as before I think the banks are going to take hit for the short term. Look at the performance of banks after JPOW let everyone know they won't be as aggressive either their rate hikes. I'm buying a put or 2 on JPM to make a quick little profit. I'd appreciate any of you fags giving me input on my option play

Then one of my pals applied for amazon driving job last week and got an email saying there's an 'indefinite' hiring freeze for new drivers. The fuck is going on here?

Capital Loss Indefinite Carryover
The Internal Revenue Service does not set a limit on the number of years that an investor may take to exhaust the net losses. Assuming this is a bad year for the stock market, and you sell some of your stock or bond, realizing a loss of $20,000 with zero capital gains. First, you can use the IRS limit amount of $3,000 to offset your income during that year and carry forward $17,000 to the following year. In the next year, assuming you get a capital gain of $5,000. You can balance out the capital loss with that capital gain, plus the $3,000 from the IRS limit from income, and carryover $9,000 to the following tax year. If you get no gains the following year, you can keep offsetting your ordinary income against your capital loss until you exhaust it. Another example when an investor is earning an income as low as $500 and he or she, incurs a capital loss on selling assets. The amount is untaxable even without deducting the $3000 for capital loss. The investor does not want to use the income to offset the capital loss that year and carry it forward to the next year. In such a situation, the tax return will include the $3,000 deduction on capital loss, and since the income is not enough, you can carry forward the loss to the next year.

I'm expecting the numbers to get waaay higher in the future too. I talked with another friend that works in packing there and he said they don’t have enough work right now, so they keep asking them all to go home without pay.

Amazon cancelled overtime since Black Friday through Christmas due to below average volume of work. Also caught in Washington DC lying about equipment failure to force workers to go home without pay too as well as ignoring federal judge to stop attacking workers trying to make unions. >Banks aren't going to make money if no one wants to take out a loan at 8.5% interest.
They make more per loan with the ones they do get, partly helped by having a large cushion for teaser rates or other incentives for loan making. When they sure as shit weren't making much with 0.5% yields since "making up for shit unit economics with volume" is the most classical money burning fallacy in all of finance.
>If high interest rates are good then why are multiple banks across the world have liquidity issues??
High or low isn't the issue, its rising that matters. Banks had these kinds of interest rates more than a decade ago and were fine. Rising interest rates means that there is less incentive for rollovers or refinancing. So long term obligations begin to outgrow short term needs. That is the source of liquidity "issues".

Honestly bros, look at 10s2s and tell me you see a fed pivot? 2 year yield (mostly based on fed policy) is only down 37bps from its high. 10 year yield (based on market expectations/sentiment, not fed policy) on the other hand is down almost 78bps.

This doesn't look like the bond market is pricing in a pivot and return to QE and easy money in the near-mid term. It looks like it's pricing in Fed policy rate to stay around 400bps for a while and crash the economy -- hence causing a flight to safety on the 10 year.

I think equity pivot bros have been had.

You take out a loan using current holdings as collateral and maybe don't have to commit any capital at all to "rent to own" more stocks.
If that sounds like something only HNW individuals have access to, it should. Because trusting any collateral from HOOD midwits is doomed to make you the bagholder.

Yes that does sound good for HNW individuals, which is why I’m wondering why a system where you are obligated to continue commiting capital purchases when your asset has deflated does not exist, with the added benefit of stocks usually go up meaning WHEN the individual defaults and you repossess those stocks, they will likely be worth more, unlike say a car.

Or you could go the other way and let them use gains in their rent to own portfolio to pay back payments.

It seems like a good idea, margin is not the same thing as financing

I just went and looked at most of the stock forums on reddit. It is a shame that is so incredibly gay. There is nowhere to go to escape 4chan. What kind of cruel joke is this world of clowns? Did the Jews set things up where 4chan would be the best that there is as a form of prolonged torture? In a non clown world this place would be as gay as it gets, but other places are even more gay.
