52729322 No.52729322 [Reply] [Original]

Im retired from BTC and LINK. Have been for about 2.5 years.
After novelty wears off its depressing being retired in 20s, if not just boring.
I waged for 10 years including weekends, so i have perspective. I often dream of working mg old wagie job part time again.
I cannot stand video games and havent been able to play them for about 6 years. I thought it’s change when i retires but not really. Havent been able to enjoy them since teenager.
Im not into TV and binge watching movies like a goy either. I just live boring and repetitive days. I even moved to another continent to try live a little but just ends up the same there. I enrolled in a language school for a year and that was cool even if i didnt wanna do it some days. After graduating it back to same old depressing shit.
I even do freelance web dev for “fun” but i have no real motivation cause im comfy financially.
I already workout 5x a week and have for 10 years.

relax the whole thing is collapsing anyways, just enjoy life for now because economic forces that are pretty fucking inevitable will un-retire you anyways.

Life was more fulfilling when i was struggling on the way to make it in many ways.
Im pretty un-materialistic by nature so the latest consooom doesn’t fulfil me at all. I made plenty of friends along the way but in the end i think family is the most important thing in life. Not necessarily kids but your wider family.
Thats my blog summed up thanks for reading

I am retired thanks to selling LINK and FTM in november 2021.
It was amazing for the first 6 months. I had so much time and was reading so many books.
But now I am stuck in a weird mode where I want to learn to code and build stuff, but at the same time I have no drive, there is no fire burning inside of me because i know i have enough money anyway. And just like you, there are often times when i wish i could just go back to my easy part time job, my life had structure and looked forward to the weekend and now everything is a blur and the fact that i live in Swedstan with shit weather and bunch of darkies does not help.

Working is part of life. Maybe spend your time building a business? Or raise some kids.
Life is not about "having the most fun", eating the most steak, bang the most women. It's about living a life that impacts the future. That is all that matters given that we all die, it is imperative that we strive to build the world we want to live in.

I get you OP, if you're not a pro consoomer it's like any form of stable NEETdom
You could always take on some casual pub work in a nice place, I always think back to that time fondly, there was an amazing team of mostly girls. It was where I met my girlfriend and I became friends with a lot of the regulars and a fountain of local gossip.
I even found the work fun for the most part, but this is not the kind of place fights happen often.
There's also a big opportunity for you to get into something that you couldn't survive off normally. But the older I get the more I realise that humans are truly fundamentally social creatures, even if you feel like you're a bit of an introvert. Human connections are the main thing, it's just what you connect over that you need to decide.
For the record I have not made it, just moved on to a different career.

What if I told you the most "impact" you can have is shitposting on the internet? I think it's true, unironically. One schizo completely dedicated to pushing some narrative 24/7 his whole life can change a big chunk of worldwide culture. I'm talking editing wikipedia, commenting on youtube videos, starting hundreds of subreddits under different usernames, launching petitions, creating memes and spreading them around, one schizo can have enormous impact just by being a dedicated schizo 24/7 decade after decade. That's your goal right, to have an impact? I think that's the play. Doesn't sound like a good life to me but then I think you should just have fun in life rather than leaving a mark

For me personally, I'd go into any field of study I find interesting especially if what was holding me back was the lack of financial prospects. Like history, archeology, paleontology, or conservation. You can find a new drive for yourself in making a new discovery. You need to find something that either drives your instinctual curiosity or need to help others. I doubt Newton and all those other rich scientific aristocrats felt the same way as you. And they had money. Maybe of you need more structure, university courses for the sole purpose of the pursuit of knowledge and good marks, like other anons said. And of course, no matter how much 4 chan autism you have, you are blogposting on biz and are you human being. We crave connections. Try and find a wife. Same here. Started learning
computer science (already okay-ish at programming but never really studied the fundamentals) and crypto/web3 stuff but holy fuck it's tedious. I thought I was interested in crypto but actually working on it is a different story. Thinking of quittting at this point.

Learned a language and travelled but that gets boring pretty quick. Lift 5 days a week.

Volunteer once a week but it just feels forced and hollow.

Next thing I'm thinking of trying is property investing. It just feels pointless though because I don't need the money.

>give your money away
I would never be able to live with myself knowing I had enough money to never wage again and then just gave it away.

>boring people are bored
Yes, I'm a boring person.

>start a family
I'm a gay incel, so that's out.

I'll probably just kms.

I was in a similar period of time when LINK passed $20, I was pretty much set to live a comfy life for a while. Was fun at first, then I started to ask myself why I got out of bed every day.

You have to work for goals that are 'bigger than life', because following small dreams is torture and not worth it. Find something that fits with your values and become passionate at it. Despite the horrendous price action that we're seeing now, I have never been happier in my life since this realization. Good luck.

Why do you think rich people run their own businesses, have country club memberships, play polo, and have personal trainers? Because they need to stay busy as well. Find another class or something.

People like Elon Musk or Bill Gates (as bad of an example as Gates is) have been essentially retired all their lives, not because they are rich, but because they have generally always lived self directed lives and accomplish things as a result.

Keep trying to do things until you find your thing to do. Anytime you are sitting around bored for a few weeks is your signal that it is time to reevaluate things.

You still need goals if you make you, you need to just set yourself different types of goals.

Read 'a subtle art of not giving a fuck' by Mark Manson, you only appreciate things when you experience the opposite, you wanted and appreciated money at the start because you weren't used to it. But now you have money it is getting old, like anything in life.

You now need to set some non-money related goals
