I just checked the documents I submitted and as proof of source of funds I just gave them an affidavit saying I made the money by working. That's it. If it ever turns out that I lied they can use that to revoke my passport, but since it's the truth it's all right. I could actually have given them my W2s but they didn't even ask for them. There is no minimum. You don't need to show all your crypto, just 150k worth of crypto (enough to pay for the donation). I presently have all of the documentation prepared and have paid the fee for the foreign birth registry. All in all, the process up until this point has cost about ~ $1000 CAD. At this point, all I have to do is mail all of the documents to Ireland and wait for it to be processed (apparently there is a backlog since Covid and the processing may take up-to 2 years). Unfortunately, my mother didn't obtain the citizenship (if she did, I would have a much easier time getting it - in fact, I think I would be born with it).
