The fun one is diecast cars which is something I've been collecting already. The big one is clothing which I'm just copying youtubers. The other is just clearance stuff from stores. Back in the day I used to make about $80k a year on ebay. But they got greedy. Now with shipping fees and Amazon setting free shipping standard, it us impossible to make any real money unless you have a clear line to some goods. I used to buy 30 - 40 pallets at a time from a place called Genco. But the market is over saturated at this point. You are better off finding something else. I recommend trying to start a business groo.ing dogs or a daycare. Even care.com might be a good spot. Some people make $30 an hour. Ebay is too much stress and too little reward.

I don’t want to spread what I sell but I’ve made about 80k in the last 2 years, last few months have been really slow and I’ve been extremely busy with a wedding, a baby on the way, and a new job.

If anyone has questions go ahead and ask, but I’m not gonna share what exactly I sell. The profit margins are insane for me and the effort is very low.

What you mainly want to know if it’s worth it is if you have time (10+ hours a week minimum), if you have a product (or particular way to get certain products at cheap) and your expenses compared to profits.

eBay has about 16% in fees, and then you’re taxed another 16-20% on your entire net so adjust for that too. The only reason I continue to use eBay is due to the huge amount of retards and fools on there, easy sales.

These guys automate drop shipping from Amazon to eBay and make £1300/£1500 + a month (if you assume £1 profit per sold item).
eBay has a lot of stupid buyers who are unable to shop around for a better price.

I had a competitor claim I was selling their products. Without even investigating me they disabled my listings, gutted my reviews, and my rankings suffered. It took almost 3 months to get my listings reinstated. They basically told me it was an oops on their part. I am done selling on Amazon after a year trying to climb back to where I was. I went from doing $600-$800 in sales to $40-$80. Is ebay a good place to migrate to? How do you like packaging your own products? How do you save money on cardboard/shipping yourself? I want my NEET lifestyle back brother. I have saved enough, and invested enough to be chill for several years, but I got genuine enjoyment out of selling tons of my 5 star product. I sell Pokemon cards with little white spots on the back that would usually sell as EXC, fixing them with a blue marker to make them look NM.
It works insanely good, I found a water based blue marker that it's the exact same color. 99,99% of the card I sell will never be inspected with 10x magnifier or be graded, literally zero risk.
The secret is just to make a little blue point near the corner and then slide the ink with the finger to not smear the borders, with small white spot it works like a charm.
All of this in Minecraft, of course.

no I take pictures, a lot of pictures for certain parts. you want to show the person as much as you can, it's reassuring. I just know from working on cars that certain things like brackets or connector colors on certain things matter. like some early 2000 ford ranger and explorers, if my memory serves me correct, have a either a brown or white connector. so things like that I list in description and take pictures of. I try to take pictures of the part functioning or being in the on state to show that it works. just think if you were buying the part, you would want to know what you are buying. it takes time, but the return for your time is so much greater when you aren't trading for money at a fixed rate.

I honestly think the current trend of investing in stocks or crypto has slowed but there will always be a dent placed on ebay sales because of it. Ebay is far from perfect but at least they allow me to sell 10k items a month for $60 which is way more generous than they used to be. Since i quit gambling in casinos and quit cold turkey on thanksgiving, pun intended, i'll have plenty of time and money set aside now for crypto, stonks and reselling on ebay. I'm optimistic that 2023 is going to be a bullish year. I've lived thru plenty of inflationary years to know this one is radically different and a scam because nobody is defaulting on their loans, losing their houses, missing cc payments, yet the price of everything is rising coincidentally ever since there was a major, national increase in wages

I've started a few days ago and made a couple of sales, my approach right now is to sell at a low cost to the customer in order to generate some sales and get a boost to my seller rating, and then after i've gotten 20-30 sales then I will start listing higher margin products and get a basic subscription. Would you say that's a good approach?
Also what kind of margins should I be looking for, 20-30%?

>> No.52713752

>>52713685
Pointless imo, I wasted time doing that, if you’re looking for feedback and quick sale generation continue lower margins or find something that’ll sell quick. Don’t sell so low you’re losing money each sale, always account for tax/fees/cost of business in your expenses.

>> No.52713765

>>52713685
Oh I don’t even have any subscription either. And 20% profit margin is too low considering taxes and fees. I don’t bother with anything unless I have a 50% or better margin.

>> No.52713796

>>52713765
Really? Because at the moment I can only list 50 items on eBay, with the basic sub I can do 250k.
>I don’t bother with anything unless I have a 50% or better margin.
I'm just dropshipping off Amazon at the moment, and one other site where I have a free trial to get some of their deals. I figured going with their best sellers was the way to go to begin.
Do you sell on Facebook Marketplace as well?

Selling goods I take from my employer's warehouse. Like this Anon >>52702014 said, it's too easy if you're the guy people trust with keys and have years of experience in logistics.

Employer has a niche which I undercut him heavily on eBay. Been doing it since two only and make an extra $900 so far per month. Gonna increase the volume soonish.

Not my fucking problem.

It's hard to sell without a rating to some extent but this is because low rating accounts are usually low IQ mobile users that take sideways pictures in a dark dirty room and write no description. Start with small stuff and build up from there and you'll be fine even with a new account in my opinion.

It was worth it for me to have them handle shipping hundreds of units a month for me. Doing that myself would of become a fulltime job. I also spent next to nothing on advertisements. I would place my products on other product's page and people would see it and buy mine instead. Majority organic sales as I was a very specific niche inside of a niche.

Honestly it really depends on the items you have and your situation. If you can do big volume then fast selling, low margin items are good. I personally do higher margin. I don't really mess with an item unless I get at least 50% profit, unless it's a guaranteed fast sell. I usually double up on most of my items.
>>52713796
Since you just started they restrict the amount you're limited to list. You can call ebay and ask for them to increase it. Without a store you get 250 free listings. Once you get to the point where you want a store (I got one once my listing fees would have exceeded the subscription price) skip the started and get the Basic. You get a Terapeak subscription for free with the basic stores so you can research items a bit better.

YouTube has all the information you need to succeed. Stick with what you know, and then branch out as you get an eye for what sells and what doesn't.

Personally, I just started out this week selling my movie collection. I also source DVDs and Blu-Rays from thrift stores currently, gonna hopefully start hitting up yard sales in the future.

Yesterday I paid 25 cents for a sealed DVD and sold it on Ebay the same day for $10.40. If I can replicate that every day I'll be making some serious cash.

I've got about $1000 to put into this at the moment, and i'll reinvest profits for a good while. I don't need it to take off super quick since i'm getting neetbux so that's why I figured a slower approach was the way to go.
Is Terapeak any good? Sweetens the deal on the basic sub.

Why does no one accept crypto in these ecommerce sites? I know one crypto company that has been in talks with ebay, but I haven't heard anything recently. I hope good things come out of it, because I'm currently in a country that makes it hard to get anything outside the country with their currency.
