How the fuck do you guys sell later on ? I plan to buy locally several kg of silver, but the buyout prices are insultingly low.
Like I buy 1kg for around 850 dollars and they can only buy it back for up to 600$ if I sell.
Am I supposed to wait an absurd increase ?

The plan is to hold very long term. Possibly leave to the kids, but still if need came I'd be selling at a ridiculous loss.

You won't get rich buying gold & silver, but it's a good way to save money during inflation.

Buy microcap stocks they've been at historical lows for 2 consecutive. Smart money is about to pivot back to risk as blue chips no longer provide steady riskless returns. Small caps will be the first to recover when the market truly bounces back.

It's end of year so it's buyout season.

And a 4% spread is really the least you should expect to lose when buying and immediately reselling almost anything. Buy a car and drive it off the lot - now see what you get reselling it. People have this weird notion that retail merchants live on air and smiles or something. Anyone who thinks you can run a business by buying and selling at the same price should try it.

You start by trying to buy at the cheapest price you can find AND don't overextend yourself. You should be planning your finances so you don't need to sell your metals. You should only be selling in an emergency. Anything else and you fucked up. Buying almost anything and then turning around and selling it will cost you. But let's assume something unexpected happens. Now you shop around for the best price at which to sell and that will probably be person to person because individuals who are not running a business can split the middleman's cut with you.

Good idea on the concentrator, i ve seen all sorts of small scale designs for those in recent years but they need consistently when operating. changes in grain size seem to fuck them up badly.
For a cheap ball mill you could always modify a cement mixer with rubber sheet matting on the inside and some baffle plates. Fill 1/3rd with ore and water, then add different size steel balls. Works great for backyard milling. Post pics soon I love seeing other little operations!

>> No.52693066

>>52692865
Ah yep forgot to add will have to source a screen or trommel before the concentrator because it can only handle max 2mm size, I'm sorta hoping to be able feed the oversize back into the hammer mill for some more reduction, might not work being wet though.

Will take a bit of time to setup but hopefully within a few months have some pics to post, with gold would be nice as well.

Hi Pan man, I must bother you with some stupid questions. Went scouting for gravel banks in google earth and this one popped up.
Left “river” is a power plant channel, more than 5m higher than the river and there’s some kind of emergency valve at this spot.
Seems like they blew out a lot of stuff in 2015.
WTF did this do to the gold?
All boiled down to the (now filled) center of the hole?
All gone downstream?(though not far, that boulder in the river seems promising, but I’m afraid I can’t get to it)
That “spit” in the last pic could be interesting and there’s a shadow that might be another boulder. Probably gotta do some bushwhacking, because I sure as hell won’t suicide crossing that motorway.

OH now thats interesting, i have to get to work shortly but quickly, you would expect everything light to be blasted away while anything heavy would end up at the top ridges of any bedrock. An outlet blast like that is a LOT of force, gold would be moved by that, including big gold. Its hard to say from those photos but you should see if any boulder patches are still exposed near surface. Thats some very interesting features if the area is gold bearing.

You're asking if any coin or bullion made now will be numismatic in some hypothetical future monetary system. No one knows. A better question to ask yourself is why are you stacking. Prepper stackers want recognizability, investors want tax benefits, and collectors speculate on what stuff may be numismatic.

Tbf this ratio is meaningless. It only represent the number of USD being printed versus the number of oz mined on a yearly basis. A year ago it was marked $4000 per ounce. But now the Fed is quantitative tightening, the ratio fell of a cliff. If next year the QT policy get more intense, it could fall in negative territory..
And about your order, i wouldn't worry, (((they))) probably still have few tricks up their sleeves, since they are free to do whatever they want, they wont flip the price switch until it heavily favors them, one way or another.

I think it's important to repost this for the frens who might have missed it

Bombshell posted by Ditch on WSS :
https://www.reddit.com/r/Wallstreetsilver/comments/z85u0q/the_bankers_desperately_pull_the_efr_and_efp/

It's a bit complex, but basically if we haven't seen any movement from Comex's registered for the entire month of november, it's because the banksters used a kind of derivative instruments called EFP and EFR, which are synthetic OTC swaps. They are being used as delivery warrants by the issuers (CME Group/JPM/etc..) to play around silver deliveries via registered vaults.
In short, instead of delivering the physical silver, they are convincing the buyers to get yet another kind of silver IOUs, but unlike SLV it's being settled OTC, probably with some interests or cash incentives on top of it.

This is how we went from registered vaults bleeding over half a million oz every single day between May-October down to literally 0 for november. Meanwhile for 70Moz (2x what's left in comex vaults) of EFR were sold by the banksters this month.

Ditch believe that's it. The vaults simply are empty. But to keep the illusion alive, the banksters are inventing all kind of paper shenanigans acting as silver... at least on paper. And in the meantime, thanks to the price being suppressed via those derivatives, all majors participants exited their silver short positions. Like rats leaving the sinking ship.

But something broke down today. The last day of the month, this is not by chance. The physical machine restarted. And not just by a little : -1Moz in registered, and the same in eligible.
Do you know what it could be? The banksters consider they bought themselves enough time with the EFR/EFP to exit all their shorts, and now they aren't leveraged anymore, they don't care what's about to happen to registered (ie force majeure settling). The run for the exit is now allowed to continue with only few scraps left in the vaults. December might be interesting.

by selling peer-to-peer I assume that you mean using ebay, etsy or whatever, craigslist, and so on. Craiglist is kind of out of the question because you don't know what scumbags or thieves you're dealing with in your area, even though that sorts out shipping fee. Ebay will eat your premiums with insurance, shipping, and listing fees, and that is quite a difficult process especially if you hold many coins, many different varieties of them. You can sell them together sure. I just wish there was a simpler way to do it where someone wasn't trying to want to take your profits for themselves and by profiteering as much as they can. To walk into a shop or exchange and be given what it's actually worth or just a few percent under spot at least at that point in time. too much to ask I know.

A steel 1943 penny
Two 35% silver war nickels, 1942 and 1945, both from Philly.
One hundred fifty three 90% silver dimes, including a slick barber dime I found at my old job.

Do you really want this lifestyle tho? It's easy to fantasize and glamourize it when it's beautifully photographed. But truth is it's very difficult to get rid of all the comfort technology gave us.
Here you see a photo-montage with the perfect girl, the perfect weather, the perfect environment.

Make it rain in winter and all of a sudden this pic is the anti-thesis of comfy. You are freezing your naked butt, your feet are covered in frozen mud, you can't dry up your only bedsheet (which took you 3 hours to clean in the ice cold river to the point you couldn't feel your fingertips), your body isn't this soft and beautiful thing anymore, your skin is dry, you have callous hands, large shoulders due to all the menial tasks.
You barely have a minute to yourself because there is always some tree to chop down for the chimney, some cows to milk and some chickens to lay eggs, you must feed the animals several times a day, prepare the food for the family on a wood stove you have to keep your eyes laser focused on.

Just one example from when i was a young kid at my grandma's farm, she had to smother all but one of the pups and kitten at each litter they had. Either drowning them in a bucket then feeding them to the pigs, or throwing them in the pond so the fishes would eat their corpses. I remember literally no facial expression on her, because that's how life is, and she did it her whole life, just like all the farmers for millenias. Pets are a tool, not a friend or substitution kids in the real world.

Are you ready to kill pups and kitten every year?
I'm not saying you shouldn't aspire to this lifestyle, because it's more real and natural than what we have. But you are supposed to be born in it, otherwise it will overwhelm you. In your current girl life (supposing you are one), you literally press buttons to do stuff who require immense efforts. Have you tried just once to wash your laundry manually?

does anyone think there is more to PMs than we know now? whenever I carry one I feel different. (and whenever I gaze into one I feel giddy, though that's probably greed.) and the other day I brought a silver coin to bed, it was laying near my neck but not touching, but its presence was impossible to ignore, almost like it was glowing in a dimension I could sense even if my eyes couldn't see.
there must be some reason every society likes shiny rocks, even before they had good use other than shiny.

Yes. But any quarter made before 1965 is worth saving as they're all 90% silver. 1965 quarters are worthless, in fact they have one of the highest montages of any year of quarter (over a billion). I get tired of seeing people on other sites asking about 1965 quarters, which is why I went off on this tangent about them.
>Save pre 1965 dimes and quarters
>Save pre 1970 half dollars
>Save pre 1982 pennies if you want copper
(modern pennies aren't copper. Pre82 pennies are worth 3¢ in copper value)
>All nickels are worth 8 cents in metal value as well.
If you live close to Mexico you may also encounter their money, look for pre 1996 10 pesos coins as those contain silver too
Keep an eye out for Canadian pennies as well. Not sure when they took Cooper out of those though
Also if you see a nickel with the mintmark above the building in the back, it's silver too so keep those.
(they were only minted during ww2)
As for modern clad shit, I save 2021 Delaware quarters, 76 bicentennial quarters, brass dollars, and the modern commemorative nickels and 2009 pennies

>Keep an eye out for Canadian pennies as well. Not sure when they took Cooper out of those though
Last year was 1997 for Copper, but they reduced the size of the Copper coins several times before that. The Zinc Canadian Pennies are worth more than 1 Canadian Cent in Melt too.
Canadian Nickels from 1981 and earlier are pure Nickel and from 1982 to 2001 (and some 2006), these are all worth more than melt. There are some years of Steel Canadian Nickels from WWII and the Korean War when Nickel was scarce, but those make up for their lack of metal value in numismatic value.

You could periodically check the two pmg minter's website, MintAnon and HoloCoinAnon. MintAnon has a newsletter signup on their main page, I don't think HCA does though.

Thanks for the faith.
This is a very difficult coin to shoot. You did a great job of picking out the fine traces crossing the ocean. My shot doesn't really show them well They look more like dots for texture, so I haven't spent time making a presentation version, thinking I could reshoot. With holiday madness right now, that ain't gonna happen. So I'll settle for detail in the paisley land.
Hot off the press...

So what's your strategy or goals and any advice you have for people to start out to avoid common mistakes and such. Gold vs silver buying ratio? Buying weekly vs monthly? Just picked up my first Buffalo because the premiums on the 1/10th are not worth it while I have the cash.

Greeting fellow nor/mlp/eople.
You can find mem silver by lurking
https://anonymintpm.com/shop/
and
https://basedandredpilled4.life/
as >>52703441 said.
Also, lurking the /pmg/ here is always a good idea.

As for the next /mlp/ round? I would prefer to have a nice Fausticorn, or something old timey and make a nice design, not just slap together two svg and call it a day.
But I trus /mlp/ at doing things (almost) right.

I don't know if any of you remember, but a while back I bought a kilo Kookaburra and had it shipped to my sister's place. Saved like 60 bucks over buying from a dealer that would have actually shipped to my address. Anyway, she finally got around to sending it to me. I have to say, it's fantastic. My first kilo coin, and I don't know if it can be topped.

That's probably about right. There's 5.25 grams of gold in 7 grams of 18k. So, if he paid $250, he paid about $47/g which is still $5 - $10/g under recent spot.

>>52705494
Using today's spot it'd be ~$58/g, so $305ish in gold in 7g of 18k
