Bobos are benevolent beings that only want to warn fellow anons of impending financial turmoil. Look beyond the smug demeanor and you'll see a bear that only wants to protect your life savings from the grip of diabolical market participants. Mumus on the other hand are psychopaths that want the Fed to unleash parabolic inflation so that their meme company stocks go up. Bobos are the good guys.

You know how all of you parasites always say "HuRr durr gommunism maybe good in theory but always 'fails'"? Well capitalism doesnt even work in theory and unfortunately for financier parasites like you, we live in a mathematical universe and if something cant be expressed in a theoretical/mathematical way it WILL not appear or be maintained in the physical world.

The freer the market the more enslaved everything and everyone else is and the more blood sacrifices need to be performed to "the Line god". An economy needs to be as regulated and planned as possible to serve the living beings needs and desires and be able to be adjusted according to our needs at any given moment/period.

4chan parasites, financiers, rightoids and nazis like you will seethe and cope and scapegoat "the lazy subhuman useless eaters" or whoever but these are the facts and the longer you deny them and bury your heads in the sand the more you will continue leading lonely, sad, hateful and painful lives into even more miserable and pointless deaths as the proud, obedient, compliant, insecure and submissive bootlicking proud modern day slaves that you so desperately want be

Jerome splashes water on his face in a seedy hotel bathroom and straightens his tie in the mirror, his right eye twitches a few times. He gives himself a shake and steps out of the bathroom. The scene is grim, needles and bongs litter the sleazy hotel room not to mention all the condoms and semen everywhere interspersed with the most rancid whores imaginable, the kind 2scoops would hire. All the Fed presidents, women included, just ran the biggest drug fueled train on the market imaginable. The market is whimpering in the corner about shrinkflation while jizz leaks out of every hole. Once the condoms ran out everyone just fucked the market raw, he smirks as he remembers the market begging them not to. Several of the other junkie prostitutes are passed out about the room and he has to step over them on his way out. It won't be long before they start to wake up and find the pile of dead chinese ones with Evergrande branded on their asses in the bathroom tub. Jerome walks over to the market and bends down and whispers, "Come back when you need more QE, bitch." and spits in her face. Smiling as he walks out he remembers he needs to return some video tapes. He heads down to the hotel office to pay them 9 billion dollars for the hotel stay on his fake CC under Hunter Biden's name. "What about black unemployment?" he says out loud on his way down, mimicking Janet Yellen's raspy old woman voice and laughs to himself.

>"This was a record-breaking holiday shopping weekend for Amazon. Customers shopped millions of deals this weekend and we have many more amazing deals to come," said Doug Herrington, CEO, WW Amazon Stores.
There is still going to be more shopping for Christmas. The only windfall could be analysts revising their earnings estimates

the election was stolen (again) but yeah it's a blue state what can ya do. i've been pretty staunchly in the "you can't complain if you don't vote" but i've gotta admit i've been pretty demoralized since the 2020 election, and now they even squashed the red wave with their fucking mail in ballot kikery. idk. i did my part, but idk anymore.

i had covid and coughed all over the voting place at least. best i can offer the current situation.

Read the summary prospectus. They buy ETN/ELNs with 20% of the fund, the holdings listed spx_n, which are comprised of strip-bonds & covered calls. Then they sell the calls inside ETN for premium.

>Inb4 counterparty for call buyers
Tell me who buys the calls XYLD, QYLD sell?

Maximum rugging would be the ETNs counterparty can't pay the note maturity, which puts 20% of the portfolio 0, but leaves the 80% stock equity untouched. There is your risk.

Oil was trading around $70 a year ago.
Oil companies were priced to earn ~20% cashflows if that level was maintained.
Oil spend most of the year closer to $100.
Oil is back down, but still at $80.

When will people learn that oil equities earn money continuously as long as the price stays above their breakeven? When will people learn that oil companies do not need a perpetually rising oil price in order to profit?
Oil stocks today are as cheap as they were last year. Last years investors got paid. This year's investors will likely also get paid.
There's a paradox where as long as the broad market remains convinced that oil stocks are uninvestable (due to ESG or w/e other bullshit), these companies will continue to buyback stock and compound because that's the most profitable action they can take. Stocks stay cheap, capital returns remain high, production never grows. The most bearish thing that could happen for oil stocks is that the share prices suddenly pump massively. That's when you'll know the cycle is done.

picrelated.
Can you answer me from the highlighted text alone the potential risks which occur when the "written call options" (synthetic, as the might well be or even real) go ITM who's taking the losses (buy them back at higher prices or have them exercised on your ass)?
From the prospectus it sounds as they are only earning money from this.
These are genuine questions that I have which remain wholly unanswered yet.
And how they're able to dosh out these fat dividends from their supposed ETN/ELN plays with only investing 20% of their fund into it is still a mystery.
They seemingly figured out something the others haven't. Which is highly suspicious.

>Tell me who buys the calls XYLD, QYLD sell?
At least they are genuine exchange traded CBOE S&P 500 cash settled call options and not some synthetic mystery brew as in JEPI.
So the answer would be other market participants in the exchange traded CBOE S&P 500 cash settled call options sphere which are at least "real" as the options have a bid and ask most of the day.

>Maximum rugging would be the ETNs counterparty can't pay the note maturity, which puts 20% of the portfolio 0, but leaves the 80% stock equity untouched. There is your risk.
So last month or so, they (JEPI) received the options premium, get to keep it, and the ETN counterparty covered all the occurring losses as the 2% out of the money options were running ITM heavily? So basically free money?

This is true. I've simplified to ignore inflation because at the moment energy is the leading cause of inflation.
A big issue previously is that all these companies were debt trapped, churning out higher and higher production but watching prices fall as they struggled to fight an endless pit of debt.
Nowadays, oil, coal, gas companies are largely sitting on net cash positions.

(undeniably following same ramp up to start of decline, as multiplied by X number), the decline this time is much faster, hence likely recovery to be much faster. BUT, J.Powel has said he wants unemployment higher, inflation down, and wages down. America can't grow and stay competitive based on financial numbers growth: we need real productivity to have a desirable future 5 years, 10yrs, 30yrs from now, and I think he's going for that. I'd put the trough of stock market recession sometime between 2 months from now and end of first quarter 2024.

The problem with buying that $30 in cash with ZIM is that you're paying 25% withholdings to the jews (of Israel) on every dividend they pay out to you.
So you're really looking at 30 x 0.75 = $22.50 that you'll eventually extract, not $30.
They're not gonna liquidate or sell the company, and they don't seem interested in doing massive buybacks. The only return of capital will be dividends.

...and then there's the risk that they don't fully distribute that wealth. Why would they siphon all their money when they're about to enter a multi-year period of losses? Management wants the company to continue to exist, so they can continue to take their own paychecks.
I wouldn't buy ZIM for more than $15 right now.

The meeting of the Fed presidents is underway and Jerome shifts uncomfortably trying not to let any emotion show as Lael is droning on about Modern Monetary Theory and how they need to print more. It's made exponentially more diffcult since he's naked from the waist down and the market is quietly deep throating him, the occasional "hukk hukk" sound faintly audible on the video conference. The other Fed Presidents slowly realize what is going on and as it dawns on them they express surprise then approval at Jerome's clear dominance over this troublesome market. Jerome casually interrupts Lael when she eventually mentions black unemployment, "Look Lael, we all appreciate your input on this but the minorities are at the highest employment ever. It's clear we need to continue with rate-". He grabs the markets head and slams her down to the balls. *cough* "Excuse me, rate hikes. That is what we promised the American people and we are damn well going to deliver, the market will be stronger". Jerome starts ejaculating down the market's throat as she instinctively swallows each load. "after we are done. That is the only path toward recovery and another bull market. We've made sacrifices for the covid hysteria and now it's time to unwind them." The majority of the other Fed presidents nod showing their approval not only for his strong monetary policy but also for maintaining his cool during business discussions while being not so secretly serviced. The video call winks out and Jerome finished, pulls his massive member out of the market. He gives her a hard slap, a bright red hand print appearing on her cheek within seconds and tells her to go put the largest plug she can find in her ass. Training the market has been tedious but well worth the effort.

The reasons that the bubble got inflated were different as other anons have stated but we are in a super bubble nevertheless. Whether the result will be a recession or run away inflation depends on whether the feds can scare the market enough to get inflation down to a reasonable level. I'd actually look back to the 1970s where inflation was a serious issue to see how markets reacted then.

Basically, Carter appointed Volcker and the Senate approved him, Volcker raised rates which stayed high until Reagan replaced him with Greenspan. JPow quoted Volcker at Jackson Hole, which should be a sign to bulls (along with Biden endorsing JPow’s Fed policy moves in recent months) that the rape hikes and QT are here to stay.

Once again, and this should be obvious to everyone now that tech is laying off workers in droves and the housing market is dropping faster than ever before, the Fed is rightfully more concerned with inflation sinking the entirety of American hegemony than a recession or even a depression. The dollar can survive without the market but the market can’t survive without the dollar.

Thanks for the level-headed reply, anon.
At least according to investopedia, inflation in the 1970's was caused by "oil prices, currency speculators, greedy businessmen, and avaricious union leaders".

IMO, current inflation is caused by [government-caused shutdowns] supply shortages, and money-printing/benefits, the later which lead to vastly increased market speculation *based on knowledge of pending inflation*. Self-reinforcing prophecy. Ironically, I think increasing rates can't decrease inflation much, because the inflation was caused by increase of money supply and supply shortage (both sort of flip sides of the same phenomenon, too much money chasing too few goods.) Seems to me interest rate hikes will only slow inflation a bit but mostly by putting companies out of business or dragging down their bottom line for a short while (but many will then see that staying in business is not worth it, and quit), therefore, temporarily less-inflation than current, until either rates decrease or the market becomes less competitive, at which people will simply swallow the price increases that have happened. The question is: is inflation persistent or not?

Inflation didn't threaten hegemony at all.
Dollar appreciated wildly, and foreign governments didn't really dump their treasuries much (holdings down mainly due to valuation effects, and were net buyers during peak inflation).

The fed saw the labor market start to get a bit to uppity, and decided to crack the whip and use a recession to tighten it up.
You don't have as strong of a negotiating position when people aren't hiring anymore.
Get back in the cagie, wagie.

Voters are fucking stupid and will blame everything on Brandon anyways. So JPOW has 0 incentive to not just wild out.
As long as he tells his buddies if they should buy calls or puts the day before they don't give a fuck what happens to the market.

>IMO, current inflation is caused by [government-caused shutdowns] supply shortages, and money-printing/benefits
Unironically, it's literally just a massive bubble in the cost of shipping goods. Which yeah, is largely attributable to zero-covid policy shutdowns in China.

It's likely QE had an effect, but probably not as much as people like to think.
It's not exactly "money printing", it's FOMC buying FI securities off the balance sheets of banks to inject liquidity & grow money supply.
This was probably unnecessary because it's not like the banks had any issues with capitalization, but they were just running back the 2008 playbook.
The fed hoovering up securities crowded out the market for fixed-income, which is why you see a flight to equities/crypto and an explosion in prices.
Tech employees with stock-based compensation saw huge windfalls, and increased consumption because they thought the party would go on forever.
Plenty of businesses also got huge windfalls from the PPP loan forgiveness too, which was the actual money printer since those $742b was completely financed by adding to the deficit.

Combine the effects of supply shift from overseas supply chains with demand shift from sudden windfalls and you get rapid price increases.
Then the media narrative around inflation starts, and even businesses that aren't particularly impacted by inflation use it as an excuse to jack up prices anyways since the consumer will accept it.

>Ironically, I think increasing rates can't decrease inflation much
It depends on if people believe it's transient or not.
Required rate-of-return (RRR) calculations take into account the risk free rate.
When that rate goes up, the math changes and suddenly certain projects stop making sense. That's why tech companies are starting to do layoffs.
You will eventually get a demand shift, but the timing and scale of it is hard to get right.
