As BlockFi files for bankruptcy and Genesis teeters on the edge, there's a remarkable new twist to the FTX saga.
It turns out FTX had sold/lost/divested of 80,000 Bitcoins belonging to customers whilst creating a "paper-Bitcoin" derivative to balance the books. These paper-Bitcoin are worthless IOU's, but we can see FTX had created almost as many paper Bitcoins as there were real bitcoins mined in the same period. Much like the gold market, they had artificially manipulated the price lower by creating more contracts than could ever be settled.
It would appear that Sam helped the democrats launder $60billion via Ukraine, supressed the BTC price by artificially boosting the supply with his paper-Bitcoin and tried to cause crypto regulation; but its all blown up in their face.
You know what will happen to the price of real-Bitcoin now that people realise its more scarce than they thought?

You are correct but you pick and choose a bit. Yes, the fake paper bitcoins are gone. But SBF isn't the only one creating paper bitcoin, just look at any bitcoin futures-based ETF (there is a reason why spot ETFs do not get past the SEC). And your zoomer adderal affliction is showing when you say that regulation has blown up in their face. The jew works slowly but surely. The main intention is to drive bitcoin down to zero with as few retail victims as possible would you believe. But it will go to zero if left to these jew traitors you call your leaders.

Who is left to sell who hasn't already? the only people I can think of are the bankruptcy lawyers liquidating company assets, but in the case of FTX there are very few assets to liquidate; so who is going to sell now with such force to push the market down to $10K?
1. We're already at max-pain (60% of coins underwater)
2. Mathematically the bottom is due November 30th
3. HODL ratio is high, coins on exchange is low
I don't see where selling could happen to create a $10K coin. How do you see it happening?

I don't understand OP's argument.
It seems to hinge on the assumption that the customers who got scammed are going to want to try again and buy BTC on the market (but self-custody this time).
Realistically, the retail customers they burned aren't going to buy more crypto, probably ever.

All this (FTX scam) did was turn people away from crypto.
Any effect of the reduced supply is counteracted by the reduced demand.

We go to 10k on December 9th at 6:56 PM EST when tether depegs after a scathing investigative report is published in the Wall street journal and a whistleblower who had been working with the feds since July of this year goes public. The feds officially charge managers of Tether for wire fraud on December 16 as BTC hits 8.5k.

On December 28th at 8:23 AM EST, Binance declares bankruptcy citing irrecoverable losses due to the collapse of Tether (which is at that point in time trading for $0.464). Later that day Bitcoin hits 2.5k and crabs there for about a month.

Let me explain. There could be only 1 Bitcoin out there and it's value wouldn't be 1000000000x more than the current setup. "Supply" with magic internet beans is a myth, the only thing you should worry about is greater bag theory. You are playing a game of chicken with depegged casino tokens that you will need to redeem eventually for actual currency. If there would be a pricing mechanicism it would be the cost of mining + electricity but since the pricing is elastic based on number of miners it's impossible to create a 1:1 value for a coin. Applying supply and demand in this scenario is inherently retarded because Bitcoin has no inherent value except the idea that one day some greater retard will take it for more money off of you than you bought it for. This is unlike traditional stocks and companies that have assets on paper that can be liquidated in the event the business is no longer solvent. You're playing an impossible game applying your retarded supply and demand theory to the price of btc and I look forward to your eventual demise.

>> No.52655586

thats a retarded take. we are always going to have big cexes so the price will always be suppressed if they are printing paper btc.

The previous idea was that you could offload your bags in the 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s to boomers that watched a Superbowl commercial but those buyers are now out. Pajeets will always be around but they have low buying power. That leaves, what, Africa to sell your bag to? That ain't happening either. realize that these massive exchanges are just playing whale games and they do it with the expectation that they'll be the one coming out on top while other players in the industry and their customers lose everything
