It's your son, Jim. I need to borrow $16163.41 to pay back some debts. I can pay you back with interest in about 14 days.

Why do need to borrow money from me, son? When I was your age I got a job at the local bank with a firm handshake and bought a house, a car and a wife.

On 16k? Just pay $3 a month until they sell 3 times then settle for 25%. Never make a payment if you just want it to drop off in 7 years. Every time you pay it resets the counter

My dad bailed me out a few years ago when my business partner started stealing money from me.
Now he is struggling from inflation I have returned what he spent to bail me out back then. Helping out family feels good bros.

yield curves are inverted, son. you should borrow from me for longer. you'll pay more total interest, but I can give you a better rate that way. You're just competing with banks short term right now. Your mother never wanted to have you by the way. I sort of forced her.

My mother took on a bad loan without asking me since she knew I wasn't able to help her at the time.
I got a 17k settlement and spent 7k paying it off for her.
I then blew the 10k I had on crypto and lost that.
I'm just glad I was able to give back, I had lost 50k in crypto and didn't help a single person that wasn't a good feeling.
