being the head honcho manager in any sort of fast food restaurant, gas station, retail store, etc. is worse than hell because you work 50-60 hours a week or more on salary, all of your subordinates and retarded (teenagers, low IQ adults, drunks/drug addicts, poorfags), and you are held responsible by hardass district managers for literally everything in the store.

also it realistically takes like 10 years to climb to assistant GM and being smarter than all of the other retards in the place isn't enough. there are a handful of assistant GM positions and the one who sucks the manager's cock (or district manager's, if it's a GM slot) the hardest gets the job.
