Yes I am in the mill doing visual checks on the machines, we communicate via hand held radios, mainly hosing up slurry and finding leaks and making sure the machines haven't stopped working. It ks a huge operation and and opportunity I haven't had before. The iron is extremely good quality and the company has a method of transporting it other mines dont have which saves them money. I have reading material and can complete the questions to progress up the ranks by completing paperwork. The Iron Ore is extremely hard on the equipment, we also have huge costs of tyres, fuel, moving parts, labour, plus the mine pays for food, accomodation and cleaning services etc for the workers. I definately enjoy it, some workmates I can tell get sick of it because of the repetitive nature of the work and being away from home.

In the mill doing Concentration. The Ore is dug out of an open pit and loaded onto 200 ton dump trucks, it is dumped into a huge crusher, it goes onto a conveyor belt and sent to the mill, there it is put through different mills while being mixed with water, then it is put through different machines including magnetic seperation and concentration, then it is made into a slurry and transported via pipepine and turned into pellets and shipped to China. I dont think im allowed to say much because I would be giving away company secrets.

Mill is a pretty good gig, it beats being out in the pit in -30 for sure but it gets messy and horrible too, just wait for your first major slurry valve clean out or plug push. Ball mill liner repair is a MASSIVE pain in the ass too. The reason for their stock crash is that their new mine, Magino in Canada, had a huge overrun in capex to build, I think something like 100% more than what was originately expected, it's crazy. They are going to end up paying like US$700M for a 10ktpd OP project, but they may have "over invested" in some things as they have been planning to expand to 20ktpd at some point. So they ended up having to do a huge equity raise to plug the funding requirement to finish the project and their stock crashed. Also their heap leach operations have been increasing in cost so the fall in gold price has been especially hard on them as well. Some mgmt positions were swapped out after the disaster. Their new CEO seems decent I guess. Right now they are a super leverage play to gold but they will also have like US$250M in debt when Magino is built and relatively high cost operations. Leverage goes both ways obv.

No and the strip ratio is almost 4 I believe, so I don't think it's going to be a low cost mine exactly, but it should make decent money even at current gold price and it has a very long mine life. Most risk is probably out of the way yes, but you never know when they start up operations, always a small risk that something goes wrong or is not as expected. Should be a simple op though. And they have the UG upside, don't think the drill results have been that great but it seems like they could probably get a couple hundred k ounces from there.

same thats why i dont want to buy them. they might get 2x the production, but i dont think the market will care. i'd rather buy a better brand name than Kinross or just go with GDXJ

i could even lever up w/ call options on GDXJ - i like the thought of that versus levering up using juniors
