I have a crypto trading bot that sells close to every high and buys at close to every low. Doesn't give a fuck what the market is doing, just makes money. You know how everyone tells you index funds are great for giving you a 10% return each year? My bot gives me that in two days. Until you take the botpill you will always be poor.

ill let you in on a secret.
dental offices are closed between 6pm - 6am.
immigrant dental workers and interns need places and training.
I know a guy who is looking to sell his company for 50M, all he does is rent out the dental offices to migrant workers. They are planning to come to the US but are not there yet.
The dental office makes around 5k/m and the company pockets the difference.
why don't the dental companies do it themselves ? because they are lazy, retarded, and make enough money to not be bothered.
this is where you come in.
no one on /biz is likely smart enough to to take this idea and run with it, but there you go. a multi million dollar business you can start that requires minimal labour.. you just need to connect and network with dental offices, and immigrants that want a better life, that are willing to sacrifice their nights learning the trade.
youre fucking welcome. fag.

People who come on this stupid board will tell you some bullshit about machine learning algos or whatever the fuck they wanna blow out their ass at any given time. Here's the secret: trying to predict the future of clown world is striving after the wind. You will lose every time that way. Just stick with the basics of statistics to figure out what's going to happen a few seconds from now versus what will happen 24 hours from now. My bot uses three factors to determine when and how to trade: moving averages, the slope of a linear regression, and probability based on the buy/sell prices it has seen in the last five minutes. Fuck your AI/ML bullshit, all this takes is some high-school level arithmetic to figure out.

I have a decent trading strategy but have a mental block when it comes to taking profit. Its hard to follow my own rules frequently.

How long would I have to study Python to develop my strategy into code? Note I have no coding experience but a lot of time learn. 8 hours or more a day. There are dozens of ways to make money coding and still have pure freedom. I should have done this years ago.

Would I be able to use JavaScript or does it have to be Python?

I generally don't use CEXes even before the recent FTX debacle, I like GMX. How difficult would it be to do this on a DEX for Perps or just swaps?

Any insight is appreciated, thanks.

I believe it. Its not hard to believe at all that he is extracting $50 per day with $1000. His buys/sells have almost no impact on liquidity or pricing with such little margin. As you use more funds its harder to pull that level of percentage gains. He is basically just sifting loose change off the top. No one wants to make 20 manual trades for $2.50 a piece.

My bot trades on cuckbase since I have cuckbase one, which means for $30/month I don't pay any trading fees on there. I just log in once a week or so to withdraw my profits. Like I said, I'm not really playing with huge amounts of money so it wouldn't be catastrophic for me if Coinbase goes belly up and I lose what I have on there.
>>52483659
>How long would I have to study Python to develop my strategy into code?
If you just go on JewTube and search "python crypto trading bot" you will see a ton of videos that basically provide all the structure you'll need to get started. The trading strategies they provide are pretty much all retarded and won't actually make any money, but they will still give you all the info you need to build your own trading bot from scratch. From there it's just a matter of developing the logic you need for your strategy. The logic you can probably learn from a few weeks of practicing conditionals, loops, etc. The math/stats used for indicators is another subject to brush up on depending on how knowledgable you already are in that area.
>Would I be able to use JavaScript or does it have to be Python?
You definitely don't need to use Python, it is just one of the easiest options since there are tons of built-in libraries to perform the functions you'll need, plus all the machine learning crap if you want to play around with that (like I said, I gave up on using ML in my strategy and just stick with more basic statistics). You could totally do it with javascript if you wanted.
>How difficult would it be to do this on a DEX
I never really attempted anything like this on a DEX so I can't say for sure. The CEXs mostly have APIs available which is how you interact with them for making trades. As long as the DEX has an API I don't imagine it would be much more difficult to do it that way.

It seems like most people who manage to make successful bots don't really talk about them, and for good reason. None of this shit would work if every retard with a laptop was able to pull off 5% of whatever they put into it every day just for letting it run. So I can only guess, but I imagine most of them follow a similar strategy that I do. You can't get too greedy and rock the boat too much or else you run into issues with liquidity or even start fucking with the price. The smartest thing to do is lay low, scrape some money off the top, and be happy with it rather than going nuts with compounding your profits and becoming some giga-whale who buys in and out of the market every few minutes.

>How long did it take you to get consistently profitable with your bot?
I probably played around with it for a solid month with some free time after work just fine-tuning everything to maximize how effective it was. When I started out I would change shit around and just let it run for a while (not actually trading, but calculating the profits/losses as if I was trading based on the price at a given time). I quickly realized that was stupid and ineffective, so I let a different program run which would pull the ticker of a crypto every second and store the ask/bid prices and time in a csv file, so that way I could feed that data into the bot an see how effective my bot was based on a day or two's worth of data and it would only take a few minutes to run through it. I highly recommend that approach since it really gave me an idea of how much parameter changes impacted my profits in a short amount of time.

If you count HTML/CSS and that shit then I started fucking with web design when I was about 11. I started "real" programming at around 13 when Flash was still a thing and I wanted to make games so I had to learn ActionScript. Then I started taking C++/Java courses in high school and got my bachelors and masters in comp sci and now work as a software dev. I'm almost 30 now so yeah I've been at it for a long time. But you don't need nearly that much experience to make this work. The actual logic is fairly simple, the main challenge is the math needed for whatever indicators you want to use. Just stick with programming for a while and it becomes second nature.
>Is it worth my time to just purchase Python courses instead of doing the Javascript?
Once you learn one programming language you pretty much know them all. Logic is always the same regardless of what language you're programming in, it's just a matter of getting used to the differences in syntax and certain other nuances of one language versus another. Just stick with Javascript for the time being if that's the resource you already have at hand. Once you really start to "get it" you'll be surprised how quickly you can pick up another language. YouTube is an excellent resource if you're getting started and want some additional explanations. And keep in mind as you're learning that even professional developers spend a good chunk of their time Googling "how do I do <the thing> in <programming language>" so there's no reason to be discouraged if you find yourself doing that a lot.

Far more than 2/3, but yes essentially. You just have to make the bot really good at knowing when there's a local top and a local bottom. Of course it doesn't guess correctly 100% of the time, but there have only been a handful of occasions where my stoploss was triggered and it's pretty much always because the entire market decides to take a shit as soon as my bot just happens to buy in.

As I mentioned in my earlier posts I started with web design when I was 11, have a masters degree in comp sci, and work as a dev full time, so yes I made it myself from scratch. Not sure what you're getting at exactly since you claim I'm just messing with a config and then saying you agree with my take on the (((monthly fee))) bots.

Man about 5 years ago or so I got really into Gekko bot which was an open source crypto trading bot that lots of people were developing at the time. People extended it out in lots of different ways including developing tools to run millions of backtests against historical data going through every possible value for each indicator they were trying out. I spent A HELL of a lot of time and got pretty deep into it for a year or so. But at the end of all of it, I just couldn’t come up with a strategy that worked. Best I could do was come up with overtuned strats that did a billion percent returns on historical data and then totally blew up running live.

What I’m getting at is this, for all you guys talking about learning python and stuff, you could really just take an off the shelf open source project like gekko bot and do this and you wouldn’t even need much programming knowledge- BUT HERES THE KICKER, OP if he is legit is not some brilliant coder, he’s a brilliant STRATEGIST. And if you knew his strategy you could probably just implement it on 3Commas. But he’s gonna keep that strategy to himself cause that’s the part none of us midwits will ever figure out.

Kek well you got me there. I'm pretty sure I literally copied and pasted the code to calculate the slope of the linear regression directly from a stackoverflow answer because I was too lazy to do it myself. I had a comp sci professor who once said "why do today what someone already did yesterday?" Anyway, as requested, the part of my bot where the magic happens and it determines whether we're seeing a local top or bottom is shown in picrel. Yes the screenshot is from Notepad++ because I'm not home rn and I'm using an old laptop, plz no bully. But as you can see literally all I'm doing is looking at the moving average and then determining how strong the current trend is based on a linear regression of the chart and some probability calculations.

>Best I could do was come up with overtuned strats that did a billion percent returns on historical data and then totally blew up running live.
Damn anon I definitely know that feel. It can take a hell of a lot of time and effort to find that winning strategy but you can definitely do it.
>you could really just take an off the shelf open source project like gekko bot and do this and you wouldn’t even need much programming knowledge
Yes absolutely I would imagine so given how relatively simple the logic actually is, I would be surprised if these bots didn't support the indicators needed to make it happen. I just already knew how to program so I did it myself rather than fork over whatever their monthly fee is.

The less you think, the more you know. The less you love, the less you hate. The less you theorize, the more action you take. The less you sing, the more weight your whispers shall carry. Yeah you totally could. I'm just looking at this code now for the first time in probably over a year and I'm seeing some stuff that makes me cringe a bit. I just started building it up with no expectation of it actually working as quickly as it did and then just left it alone running on my raspberry pi in the basement once it started generating profit. I had every intention of going back and cleaning it up at some point but you know how it goes.
