I’m looking to buy some ICP during this crypto fire-sale. I am worried about the projects tokenomics. It’s inflationary and deflationary mechanisms make it very unappealing. The tech is revolutionary but if the price never goes up why would I invest in their token?
From what I understand, and please correct me if I am mistaken, the only way for ICP to deflate more than it inflates is for it to be used more. But let’s be serious, we are 5-10 years away before blockchain technology sees mainstream adaptation. So why would I buy now at $3.90 when it will likely inflate down to <$1?
If I am missing something please educate me, this isn’t a FUD thread.

Yes with more usage more tokens are burned. Inflation isn’t bad as what other retards make it seem. Literally more than 1/3 of the total supply is staked for 8 years. When larger projects as in integrations take place on the chain they’ll burn more. There’s even secret projects devs are working on that they basically hinted at that are using a specific unreleased subnet system that would burn way more icp than the current system. To find out more about this you have to read their code they’ve posted. They’ve hinted at it several times. It’s hard to explain to retards but yeah in short this coin depends on adoption.
